The trick is to get the one with the egg on it.

If you want a good burger you go to Bru burger

Which explains the clear knockoff guthries sauce.

I thought Zaxby's was UGA. Guthrie's is definitely Auburn. Cane's is an LSU fan who worked at Guthrie's iirc

Nevertheless, Zaxby's is great

They chose a generic bird because their food is generic. It tastes like they made the burgers the day before and just microwaved them to reheat.

places like applebees and chilis are so hated on and called so overrated that they have actually become underrated. No they aren't fine dining, no they aren't going to be one of the best meals you've had, but they are consistent and reliable and cheap and there's osmethign to be said for that. They are no different than mcdonalds, who has made billions of billions of dollars in every country by simply puttnig out a cheaply made, somewhat palatable burger that tastest the same whether you're in london or kansas.

At chilis you can get a burger or pasta or chicken or whatever for like $10 and they usually have a 22 ounce beer for under $4. There are a hell of a lot worse places to get a meal than that.

Guthries was started about 20-30 years prior to the others. Not sure about Raising canes coming to existence, but Zaxbys specially copied guthries to start their restaurant

Buffalo Wild Wings. Prolly spent millions on the building. Ours didn't even last 3 years. Empty ever since.

Stean N Shake. Prolly spent a mil on the concrete parking lot. Didn't make it 2 years. Empty ever since.

We just got a Slim Chicken, with Freddy's opening soon. I'll be amazed if either lasts 3 years.

It's the entire package, food, service, cleanliness, attitude that puts them on top.
All fast food restaurants, all restaurants in general should follow their model.
This is so true!
As the nat'l fast food chains get worse and worse in quality of service and attitude, their excellent experience stands out more and more. Couple that with outstanding food and you've got the very best experience out there

PS- They've all gotten waaay too expensive though.

This all day. The only other breakfast foods close to me are Hardee's steak biscuits and Arby's potato cakes.

Forgive me Father for I am about to sin: I refuse to buy CFA (at least locally) until they open in store dining. I know it is the Lord’s chicken, but I cannot/will not pay money to them unless they open back up (again locally).

They've been dead to me ever since they got rid of double decker tacos and Mexican pizza.

Taco Bell needs to be added to the list. I used to eat it a lot in college, but it’s so freaking overpriced for what you get and the taste isn’t anything that great. You are way better off taking your family to a Mexican restaurant. Better food, more flavorful, and probably save you $10-15 bucks. It’s been pretty bad for the last 6-8 years.

Not sure why you got 3 downvotes, but I 100% agree.

When I was younger, I use to make a joke about the time I was in a taco bell, and this motherfricker in front of me ordered $50 worth of Taco Bell and I had to wait for what seemed like forever.

These days, that's just a regular order for a family of 5.

And the price increase isn't even the worst part about it. In addition to the price increase, you don't even get the same quality of food anymore. Back in the day, nothing at taco bell had rice filler. If you ordered a beef burrito, you got a fricking burrito that was...beef and cheese. What a fricking concept. No potatoes, no rice, just actual beef(or what they called beef anyway). You can't even get a real beef burrito there anymore.

And if all that wasn't bad enough, they go and change their fricking menu and get rid of most things. I'd been eating a mexican pizza for like 30 years, not anymore. And as I said before, they don't even offer you a real burrito anymore. 90% rice burrito or potato burrito.

I do not go to Taco Bell anymore. frick them.

Not exactly apples to apples, but there are at least a dozen taco trucks in the Pensacola area (of all places), 3-4 of which are really, really good. I think this is a trend and true across much of the SE as well as SW. Unless you’re craving a Envenenados BellGrande Grilled Crunchwrap Combo or whatever the hell they make up, who needs Taco Bell anymore?

Anytime someone adds the words "gourmet" to regular food, it's usually a good sign the food is not good.
