I drink Coca-Cola. Pretty much every day. But I go days without it too without really caring. My wife gets a case at the grocery store. I'll have a fountain coke with a quick lunch. Take a 20 oz into work. Etc.

It tastes good, I'm not fat, and it's just carbonated sugar water. If your body can't handle that, you should probably just kill yourself.

Anyways I don't order it when I sit down in restaurants. If I don't feel like alcohol, I get a sweet tea or ice water. If I do, I get ice water plus a beer or scotch.

And again, I'm totally against this elitist "soda is poison" bs. It just seems kind of juvenile and undignified. Kids order cokes in restaurants, not adults.

Does that make sense?

Sometimes I get the glass bottle coke if it is lunch. Generally drink water or alcoholic beverage with dinner.

Coca-Cola took my grandfather away from me at the early age of 94.

"Everything in moderation" is basically how I live my life. I will say that it is pretty rare that I drink a coke now-days. I don't think it's poison, but it is a lifestyle choice. I drink water, LaCroix, or unsweetened tea if I'm not having a beer/scotch/bourbon/.

I hope that everyone keeps drinking coke, though, so that I can still retire as planned at 50.

Some things are just good with a coke like spicey things for example. Then some things are just horrible with it like a good steak and potato. Its all about whats on my plate.

I agree with that, but beer does just as well.

My wife loves to split a tiramisu for late night dessert. That's the only time I drink decaf coffee, because it just goes perfectly with it

Im a big time coffee lover and just about all sweet deserts go well with coffee IMO especially if they have chocolate, cinnamon, or are some sort of pie.

As said, it all depends on what and where you're eating IMO. One of our local sushi places me and the SO frequent usually has cokes you can't get other places (i.e. Stewart's Key Lime) and rotates them on the menu. If I'm at an upscale place, I'm usually drinking water or sweet tea (I'm not a big wine person).

I don't drink anything from a store/restaurant dispenser. Heard a story from a friend about the crud/slime in the dispenser caps that would rarely get cleaned.

I've never enjoyed beer when I'm eating unless it's noshing on wings, chips, etc. I'll have a Coke with pizza & burgers. Steak or upscale fare it's wine, tea or water.

If I'm not having alcohol and need a little caffeine boost, then I will order a Coke. No shame. Plus, being an adult and doing kid things is considered fashionable among millennials and proves to them that you are "fun".

Are you saying it's wrong to order a coke at a restaurant?

If yes, I think you're thinking about it too much. Order whatever you feel like drinking. I usually get Sweet Tea but I don't see anything wrong with ordering a coke.
