Jenny Lake in Wyoming is the most beautiful i've ever seen. I was not on a boat though or in the south. Pickwick is my regular, just a few on the list in order of my favorites. I've been on every Mississippi lake just about. There is only 1 reason to go to sardis, grenada arkabutla and that is for crappie. Some of the Oxbow lakes on mississippi river are pretty nice Pickwick is my dig though cause I caught my PB bass there. I want to fish the rest of the TN river lakes and check out some of what South Carolina has to offer
Pickwick
Smith Lake
Greer's Ferry lake (arkansas)
Bay Springs lake (Mississippi)
Lake Lanier ( i can barely remember it. was 23 years ago last time i was there)

I like Fort Loudon Lake as well. (East TN for those that don't know)
But my absolute favorite lake which I was on just last week is Center Hill Lake. (East-ish TN)

They must live near some dirty waterways -- of which there are several. There are lakes in TN with very clear water.
Seems like most of that is in East Tennessee then because they complain about the access to them and they are in West Tennessee.

Lost Lake probably wouldn't be among them.
Alligator attack
Over the weekend, Ryanne Gwaltney was swimming with her grandfather, Clifford Gregg, in Lost Lake. At one point, just after the two got out of the water to grab a snack, they spotted an alligator in lake.
Gregg told WCTV he waited roughly 30 minutes before he and his granddaughter re-entered the water.
But moments later, Ryanne was attacked.
Say what ??????

Ouchita in Arkansas.
Beautiful lake. Grandparents used to live on it. Where I learned how to ski and drive a boat

I believe Caddo Lake in East Texas is the only natural lake in Texas. I know I read that somewhere.
"There are many natural lakes in Texas, though none is of great size. ... Caddo Lake, on the Texas-Louisiana border, was a natural lake originally, but its present capacity and surface area are largely due to dams built to raise the surface of the original body of water."
I've also seen it said that Georgia has no natural lakes, but I think it's inaccurate. What they really mean is there are no natural lakes of substantial size... I believe they may count some of the stagnant bodies of water in/around the Okeefenokee Swamp as lakes? Ultimately, none of the lakes that people think about visiting in Georgia are natural to my knowledge.

I've really never spent any time in middle to eastern Tennessee, but those lakes look awesome.

Pickwick for me as well. Not the most scenic but a great and diverse fishery. I caught my PB small mouth (6 lbs) and large mouth (9 lbs) within 2 weeks of each other last year. On the night I caught the 9 lb large mouth my cousin caught his PB 6.5 lbs and a friend of mine caught his PB 7.5 lbs. It was a magical night of fishing for us all.

Have always liked Town Lake or Lady Bird in Austin . . . whatever they call it now.
Not necessarily for it's scenic beauty but access, location, and daily usability at municipal parks. It's been a few years but there was always a lot of choice activity going on at MoPac Bridge most every evening with all the running paths, green ways, tennis courts lake side, and lights off the bridge allowing people to water polo, kayak polo, and just paddle around or scull at night. Seemed real safe, quick in and out, and lot's of amenities for post workout.

I’ve never seen the waterfall on center hill, but it was on google and some website so I assume it’s real

Living in the rockies has spoiled me when it comes to beauty, so no lake in the south is really remarkable to me except for Caddo Lake.
