Same we heard with Mac. “He won two East titles man”

Whites teams have underperformed. Last year we regressed throughout the year because he just doesn’t know how to make a team elite it seems. That team went from top five to average without major injuries to fall back on as an excuse. Just like Mac getting blown out by every good team showed he couldn’t get the next level from his kids. White can’t from his. Just isn’t cutting it.

You also wanted to run off Dan Mullen after we lost to Kentucky.

YOU are the quintessential problem with our fanbase.

No. McElwain made up a bunch of BS about threats and when UF's administration pressed him for details, he wouldn't provide any.

Our players weren't even training at the team facilities FFS.

By all accounts, the players love playing for White, and given WHite's first few seasons, he deserves to coach next year with that monster recruiting class that HE HAS PUT TOGETHER.

You realize we've been wrecked by front court injuries for the last 3 years right? I'm not saying White is perfect, but this is gotten utterly ridiculous.

UF still is in prime position to make the tournament given how many key games are left on the schedule.

boX is usually pretty objective so I'll just trust his opinion on this one.

this is dumb

An Elite Eight is different than winning an historically bad East

And White's "bad year" is a year so far is a year on the bubble, not a 4-8 year where his team has completely given up

White is young. He could improve. He's recruiting better than even Donovan did towards the end of his tenure, he's got his team playing hard, and even if he's not great strategically, the results, for the most part, have been there so far.

Criticism is valid; calling for him to be fired is absolutely dumb as frick

Mac would have gotten another year if it hadn't been for the drama about the death threats and his team just rolling over and quitting

White's program has been drama-free, his high points have been better than Mac's, and his low points have been not as bad as Mac's. His recruiting is light years ahead of Mac's. And, let's be honest, UF basketball doesn't have quite the same cache as UF football

comparing the two just shows a complete lack of perspective

And if you fire White, who are you even going after? Donovan is stable in the NBA right now. Hoiberg, who could never got out of the first weekend? Grant has done a decent job of getting Dayton back on track, but do you really want to go there? Matt McCall hasn't done super well at UMass so far. The well of coaches with ties to the program has dried up a bit.

White needs to be left alone for 2 more years if for no other reason than because every available second of time and every available dollar in the AD coffers needs to be used on making the football program elite again. I'm ready to be a goddamn football school again, and if that means possibly suffering through a few mediocre years in basketball, so be it. Football success begets all sport success.

While I don't necessarily like the product White was putting out on the court, he is not hurting the UF program because he can recruit.

The situation with the shoe companies getting caught red handed has leveled the playing field. White is bringing in the players that will win at UF.

Two more classes and seasons at the very least.

I agree with all this. I will say one thing though. The baseball team deserves that new stadium they are getting plus they can’t build the new football facility without getting rid of McKethan. So just go ahead and kill 2 birds with one stone.

If UF was to treat its football program like Alabama does theirs. We would have dynasties going on in every sport. Hell women’s b-ball might even win the SEC if we did that.

Results? The results aren't there in what deluded world are these good results? Coach White is average. His offensive gameplan is absolutely trash. He's being openly mocked by the announcers for just how shite his offense is at half court. Defending him shows you seriously haven't watched basketball. Anyone thinking White is a great coach is delusional and clearly lacking basic understanding of basketball. It's just pathetic how terrible this offense is. It's on him. He doesn't run good sets. Doesn't have ball movement. Doesn't have movement off the ball. It's all on him being a good recruiter but average at best coach. He destroyed last year's team and this team half the players regressed

Fire him and get a good coach. He clearly isn't good enough.

Mac would have gotten another year. Exactly the point. We would have finished 6-7 with him coaching. Same with White. We will always underachieved because he isn't a great coach. This dude is flat out offensively inept. Oh look. His offensive idiocy is being mocked again by the announcers. I've been right every time on coaches being good or bad. All the way back to Nuss being hired and me being banned from 247 for calling it a bad hire. Let's make this clear

White isn't good enough. He needs to go. I'll bookmark this and bump it a year from now when we aren't doing well again. Because there is zero doubt he will underachieved again.

If you want proof. Go ask who would want Mike White over their coach on the Rant. You'll hear crickets. Because everyone but delusional homers on Gator boards can see how bad he is.

If you continue to lie and say that I think he's a great coach, I posted this thread last season after a loss

quote:

frick Mike White

He's taken a program that has produced elite bigs like Matt Bonner, David Lee, Udonis Haslem, Joakim Noah, Al Horford, Marreese Speights, and Pat Young all within the past twenty years and turned it into a mediocre small ball team that doesn't defend or rebound consistently

His Elite Eight with Donovan's players was good, and he's survived up until this point even this season with Donovan recruits, but program philosophy has to change. Bringing in three guards next year? Isaiah Stokes better be a fricking beast or we'll be the same inconsistent team until White leaves or is fired

And spare me the "Donovan left a bad team" shite. That was a team of talented underclassmen that hadn't gelled yet. Any coach coming into a new program dreams of having guys like Devin Robinson, Kasey Hill, Chris Chiozza, and Kevaughn Allen as underclassmen. Take him, Ole Miss

here's a nice melt

But at the same point I can acknowledge that results haven't been bad enough that him getting fired after this season is even a possibility with the recruiting class he has coming in, so it's better to hope that he'll grow into being a better gameday coach in the future because he's not going anywhere

Here's the deal. If we make the tournament, you're not allowed to cheer for us, K?

Deal?

Idiot.

There are plenty. I want a hard try at Richard. He will leave for a job like Florida. His dad literally molded Billy. He is an absolute perfect fit
