frick Mike White
He's taken a program that has produced elite bigs like Matt Bonner, David Lee, Udonis Haslem, Joakim Noah, Al Horford, Marreese Speights, and Pat Young all within the past twenty years and turned it into a mediocre small ball team that doesn't defend or rebound consistently
His Elite Eight with Donovan's players was good, and he's survived up until this point even this season with Donovan recruits, but program philosophy has to change. Bringing in three guards next year? Isaiah Stokes better be a fricking beast or we'll be the same inconsistent team until White leaves or is fired
And spare me the "Donovan left a bad team" shite. That was a team of talented underclassmen that hadn't gelled yet. Any coach coming into a new program dreams of having guys like Devin Robinson, Kasey Hill, Chris Chiozza, and Kevaughn Allen as underclassmen.
Take him, Ole Miss

I’m still anxiously awaiting ForeverGator’s biweekly Auburn/Bruce/FBI melt, but this will do

Dude....
You, and many other Gator fans tonight, are what gives us a bad name for running off coaches.
Seriously, shut the frick up and sit in your corner.
Coach White is the best we can get and if we run him off, we will be terrible for a very long time.
So kindly frick off.

We're obviously not firing him coming off an Elite Eight but frick this line of thinking

Mike White is here to stay, he’s not perfect but he’s young and will get better, sometimes you lose and it wasn’t like he planned to not have 3 big men this year. Every player you mentioned has gotten better under coach White. Florida isn’t a blue blood, we had a hall of fame coach that made our program really good. White deserves a legitimate chance to keep it going. We can’t turn this into the same coaching carousel that the football program has turned in too. Let him grow, his upside is really really high.

We'll get a 8-10 seed this year and might win a game
Next year? Without Chiozza and likely starting a freshman at PG? We might make the NIT. It's the first real "rebuild" that White will have at UF. We'll learn a lot about him next year

He may not be around next year with fans like you running him off.
His alma mater's head coaching job just opened up, I think he's going to take a listen.

At least y’all have football to look forward to with Chip Kelly.

If Mike White is dumb enough to leave UF for OM because some fans weren't happy that they got swept by a mediocre UGA team then it was never meant to be
I doubt he's that dumb

You talk about them like these guys are comparable to the 1 and done talent that UK gets.
Just stop. THis is what happens when your front court is wrecked by injury.

I'm no genius but this statement seems incredibly dumb.

Three of our forwards are in street clothes. Gak and Bassett would not need to be counted on for so much if at least Stokes or Egbunu were healthy.
Last years recruiting class had 3 forwards. Stokes, Bassett, Johnson. Only 1 of those is able to play right now.
That be said Hayes has butter hands and little to no inside moves. Gak is worse offensively. What is so hard for them to learn a few post moves and get 10-15 points from that between them.
Also coach White needs to recruit a few Alphas. Cheese is one of my favorite Gators of all time but he is not a vocal leader.

Lack of big men has killed this year's team, while you can criticize Coach White or not recruiting better big men, he could not have know about how injuries would shut down the one's he has.
IMO, he is a great young coach, not a Billy Donovan, but with lots of growth potential if he can survive the entitled, what have you done for me lately, Gator Nation.

Didn't Billy D leave well after all of the coaching changes that year? They had slim pickings and pretty much wound up with the best coach that no one else with a vacancy wanted

Hill and Robinson were 5*. Chiozza and Allen Top 50 players. Stone and Hayes were Top 100 players.
Not UK level talent obviously but this is an upperclassmen-laden team that's clearly underachieving.
And we knew going into the year that Egbunu wouldn't be back until at best February. He's not an excuse. Maybe Stokes would be the solution to all of this team's problems but I really doubt it.

That guy sounds like a fan who has just been spoiled. Those are some really good players.
