I’d love to see him ball out and pull the upset, but I don’t know if this board could take that without crashing.

I wanted Joey to start. However I wouldn't get my hopes up.

ETA

There was a reason most experts predicted him as a TE and our QB guru coach took him as a QB.

Wilson apparently hasn't practiced all week. My UK friends already think Joey sucks lol

Hint: look for his lob passing game.

And I still say he'd make somebody a fine running back.

I dont know what took him so long to be the starter. He should have been the starter at Auburn so I can deduce that he should be the starter at Kentucky?

He should do well....

He'll be the next Tim Tebow.

It’s going to be baptism by fire for him. I actually think he got benched last game though.

He did. He could not move the offense.

I want him to do well as a QB. He did nothing to Auburn to change my thoughts, and I am not wanting him to do well just to show our coaches they screwed up.

That ship has passed for now over a year...

The facts that we had at the time, IMO, was he had the physical attributes(size, height, strong arm), but I feel he didn't have the QB experience gained by starting in HS like Nix did for what 4 or 5 years as a starter for his father? Gatewood in HS was used as a spot starter and mainly for a rushing offense.

I prefer the broken back Rapalas in all conditions and depths. Lily pads, pepper grass, trees, stumps, whatever it takes.

Apologies to Luke, but Joey Gatewood would be averaging 0.2 catches a game at TE if he stayed at AU, and he'll average 1-2 catches per game at UK when they move him.

Gatewood could make a damn fine TE. QB? I'm not so sure.

He did not look good last week when he got in. He may develop, but he has a way to go.

Hasn't that pretty much been all tight ends for the past 5-6 seasons?

That's the point. Its a joke. I'n plain language Joey Gatewood is not a QB. He should recieve the ball not throw the ball.

I'm here all week, and next week. Don't eat those oysters and Maggy the bartender has some marvelous breasts, does she not?

Who cares? All of Gus' QBs suck. The only successful QBs in his system came from JUCO where they got better coaching before coming to Sweater Vest Shula.
