I think the new staff hires are gonna pay off this off-season. Kelly has created a good image for the program. Matt House’s defense will have a likeness to some of the best ever LSU defenses. Looking forward to our dline making some money in the nfl.

We’re in better shape than I can remember in at least 20 years.

I’m glad you’re optimistic, we got to replace a lot of guys, for once, our corners might be our strength

I think we might have a decent defense this year. Offense will probably suck though.

Our defense just gets younger but faster, stronger, more talented. We will swap out D Lineman like a line change in hockey. They will always be fresh and your QB will always be fricked. In the rare event your QB does get the ball off it will be picked off immediately and ran back for a TD.

I heard y’all grabbed the Ole Miss DC. Think his scheme fits well or was it lack of talent in Oxford

It sucks losing Elko, that guy was a badass. The strengths of the defense are the depth at DL and DB.

So a 4-2-5 alignment plays well to that depth. Durkin should try to keep going with what was working well.

Unknown. Relying on transfers as starters is risky. On paper the talent is there.

Biggest unknown is DL, which has been a work in progress. New position coach and entirely new group.

Doubt it.

1. The rules don't allow for elite defensive play anymore, even good defensive teams will get victimized by good offenses.

2. 2022 LSU has a serious depth issue, especially in the secondary, linebackers are a little weak as well.

Just speaking on the ones you got from LSU:

Mcglothern is a solid player, not elite, but he will be a good option at cornerback.

Jackson is overrated and I wouldn't expect much.

Jackson will probably still need a few more years to develop like most DL do before they’re ready.

We really need to get another DT in the portal, probably our biggest weakness on the team right now is inside depth.

Not as dominant but still very good. In the conversation for best in the conference.

Mizzou D is a big question mark. New DC, transfers all over the place filling holes. Secondary should be decent. Last year's D was garbage. So, this year I'm going to say slightly better than garbage.

D-Line should be good and able to rotate. Linebacker play should be solid. No idea how these DB's are going to look that's my concern.

Not sure, I’m gonna have to see what the balance is with our NIL checking account.
