I say false.
What says the rant?? I see a lot of arguments for Kelly obviously NOT being the #1 choice and then I see a lot saying that he was the choice all along.

Why does it matter? Saban wasn't Bama's first choice, and I'd say that worked out just fine.

You think the BK thing happened a week ago? He's coaching a number 6 or so team that has a slight, but potential, chance at a playoff spot. You're not just going to pull that out of a hat overnight. Regardless of if you think it's a good hire or not, realistically, that had to have taken a while to get through.
Meanwhile, like in baseball the other coaches scrambled to get rumors going about themselves to get raises or offers from other schools.

of course not. Woodward reached out to Fisher, who turned it down with haste. Riley was certainly offered. There are reports that others were pursued but turned down consideration.
I'm just glad Riley and Kiffin were not hired.

Riley was the guy until USC fired their coach and came hard after Riley...
Saturday Riley went with USC..
I have not confirmed this but its my understanding Riley and Kelly have the same agent...

I’m also wondering why BK didn’t get picked for Texas last year. He’s be a better fit there. But maybe he wasn’t offered or didn’t realize he wanted to leave ND yet.

Both riley and kelly have been sealed for months imo. People just mad theybdidnt know. Its the way of the world nowadays. You can find out almost anything in seconds with tech.
