I can’t be the only one that is baffled by the fact this staff hasn’t offered Drake Lindsey. I get he is not a mobile quarterback. I’ve seen a lot of kids play over the years and I don’t remember anyone having the arm and being as accurate as he is. I have a feeling it’s going to bite the us in the arse when he ends up being one of the best quarterbacks in the big 10. Maybe I’m wrong .

My opinion is that we should try to keep people who contributed significant time on the OL and encourage the ones who didn’t (and aren’t underclassmen who just need development) to move on. Then bring in experienced portal players to compete with our experienced linemen and let the best men win playing time
Losing experienced players to the portal is a net loss because I can’t imagine we bring in enough portal players to replace the loss of experience while maintaining depth and competition for play time
I think Devon Manuel is in the category of players we’d rather keep, but I’m also some jackass on a forum who doesn’t know shite about frick

He could definitely get more playing time elsewhere. Good back though.

Kai Greer decommits.
Not sure what that's all about.

Making scholarship room for more transfers. I think Pittman grasps that he needs a solid season to stick around.

Sounds like we want his spot for a portal OL

Arkansas suffered a de-commitment for the Class of 2024 Monday evening when Waxhaw (N.C.) Marvin Ridge offensive lineman Kai Greer re-opened his recruitment following a coaching change in Fayetteville. Greer, a Hog pledge since August 30 when he flipped from Stanford, took to X Monday night to announce his decision.
Greer, 6-6, 285, added a new offer from Indiana on Saturday and hadn't yet set an official visit date with the Hogs, which was telling for those who expected the summertime commitment to make his way to The Hill at some point over the next two weekends.
"After evaluating the recent coaching changes at the University of Arkansas as well as talking with Coach Pittman and my family, I have made the difficult decision to decommit," Greer said. "I wish Coach Pittman and the team all the best moving forward."
In addition to the Cardinal and the cardinal red Razorbacks, Greer's offer list also includes Texas A&M, Miami, Louisville, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, Penn State, Virginia Tech and several others. According to 247Sports, he is a three-star prospect, the No. 35 interior offensive lineman in the nation, and the No. 19 overall prospect in the state of North Carolina for the Class of 2024.
The industry-generated 247Sports Composite rankings have Greer as the nation's No. 38 interior offensive lineman while also placing him at No. 19 in his home state. Greer was recruited to Arkansas by former offensive line coach Cody Kennedy, who accepted the offensive line job at Mississippi State over the weekend. Sam Pittman and the Razorbacks officially announced Eric Mateos as the Hogs' new position coach on Monday.
Arkansas, which has many holes to fill via the transfer portal after fielding a disastrous offensive line in 2023, still has two high school commitments from three-star interior lineman Kobe Branham of Fort Smith (Ark.) Southside, and three-star Zuri Madison of Lexington (Ky.) Frederick Douglass.
The Razorbacks will now turn their focus to the transfer portal, where a pair of offensive linemen where offered on Monday.
HawgSports will have more to come on Greer's decision and how it impact the 2024 recruiting class, which now sits at 25th nationally and 13th in the Southeastern Conference.
