Sounds like we want his spot for a portal OL

This is either a short sighted decision to save next year or we should have never offered him in the first place. Based on other offers I don't think the latter makes sense unfortunately

Maybe folks out east don’t have a high opinion of Petrino. But who knows.

Ole Miss is definitely doing a good job working on flipping Collins but there are still some people close to the four-star defensive end from Little Rock (Ark.) Mills that feel Arkansas is going to keep him in this class. The Rebels are absolutely the biggest threat and Auburn is lurking but the Razorbacks are still very much in the picture.

Outstanding athlete. Helps at safety and CB. Could help on offense as well if given a chance. Should do well somewhere with a need for him.

I’m old enough to remember when he was supposed to be the next great thing. I honestly forgot he was on the team this year though.

Couldn’t get a look because Armstrong’s dad is buddies with the WR coach.

Armstrong was our best receiver, by far, which isn’t saying much, but there is more than one spot available.

Arkansas got its first commitment of the weekend Sunday morning when Eastern Michigan transfer tight end Andreas Paaske went public with his decision. Paaske, 6-5, 255, chose the Razorbacks before wrapping up an official visit in Fayetteville.

Paaske, a Denmark native who is friends with former Razorback and current Arizona Cardinals offensive lineman Hjalte Froholdt, picked the Hogs over an offer from Sam Houston State. He will have two years of eligibility remaining in Fayetteville.

"It was great, it was great," Paaske said of his visit. "It was a great opportunity to come here and see something else than the group of 5. What I came from was not the greatest, but they had great heart. I didn't think that I could find a different place than Eastern that was just as good. I like it a lot. Maybe I commit, maybe I don't.

"This place, I don't know exactly how to describe it, but it's different. It's different, it's a family. It seems like a family. The coaching staff here are great human beings and they want to win. I met some of the players, the starting right tackle from last year, he was my host here. I love that dude. He's a great dude, hard-working, and that's definitely something I could see myself being a part of."

Paaske was limited to seven games played in 2023 and finished with four receptions for 39 yards. As a redshirt-freshman in 2022, he hauled in 10 catches for 204 yards and 2 touchdowns, including a 75-yard score against Northern Illinois.

Playing in the SEC was attractive to Paaske.

"That's definitely a goal of mine," he said. "That's why I chose to enter the transfer portal, was to come here and play with the best and against the best, and compete."

Froholdt, who is well known in Denmark, gave Paaske his best sales pitch for the Hogs, as well.

"He's pretty big (in Denmark)," Paaske said. "We only have a thousand players in Denmark. It's not a big community, but everybody knows who he is. He's a big-time athlete. It is pretty cool."

On Sunday morning, Arkansas landed their latest transfer commitment from 6-foot-7 Eastern Michigan tight end Andreas Paaske. He had 14 receptions, 245 total yards and two touchdowns through two seasons and 20 total games played for the Eagles.

Paaske’s journey to the American college football field is a bit unique, as he is from Copenhagen, Denmark, and didn’t have your typical high school Hudl clips to share with college coaches. However, he did arrive stateside with accolades after he was named the MVP of his team in Denmark, the Søllerød Gold Diggers, in back to back seasons. Plus, per his bio on the Eastern Michigan website, Paaske was a member of the U18 and U19 national teams and was honored as the “best player at the tight end position in Denmark.”

There’s even a bonus, since Eric Musselman may be able to give Mr. Paaske an emergency call if the hoops team starts to run thin on big bodies. That’s because the new Razorback tight end’s brother, Rasmus Paaske, is a basketball player who competes on the Danish national team. There’s no doubt the Paaskes are some serious athletes.

Arkansas gained a tight end out of the transfer portal on Sunday as Andreas Paaske committed to the Razorbacks.

Paaske, a native of Copenhagen, Denmark, announced his decision to transfer from Eastern Michigan to Arkansas on X.

The Eagles seldom used Paaske in the passing game, as he only recorded four receptions for 39 yards in seven games last season.

He did put up a good stat line in 2022, when he caught 10 passes for 206 yards and two touchdowns.

According to Pro Football Focus, Paaske played a total of 169 snaps in 2023, and posted a grade of 53.6 receiving, 23.3 pass blocking and 54.7 run blocking. His overall PFF grade was 47.8.

Paaske is the second tight end in the transfer class, joining Dodge City Community College transfer Gregory Genross in the class.

Guess we’ll have to trust Pittman’s evaluation of him and of his blocking

Nutt had a future NFL hall of fame tackle playing TE here.

Big tittie gragg may have had a shot in the NFL as a lineman but was convinced he was a te better than his big bro.

Arkansas bolstered its specialist room on Sunday as Cabot punter Sam Dubwig committed to the Razorbacks.

Dubwig, who is set to play in the NBC All-American Game in January, made the announcement on his X account.

Kohl's kicking camps ranks Dubwig as a five-star prospect. He was able to hit punts in the 50-60 yard range and was able to hit over five seconds of hangtime at the camp.

Dubwig averaged 46.1 yards per punt on 48 punts last season for Cabot. 23 of his kicks landed inside the 20-yard line, while 13 of them landed inside the 10-yard line.

Dubwig will join the program as a preferred walk-on and will enroll in January. He is the sixth in-state commitment in the 2024 class.

There’s an instate All-American and we’re just now getting to him? Surely he would have had to been good last year too to be at that level?

Arkansas received more good news on the recruiting front Sunday afternoon when one of its top commitments reaffirmed his pledge to the Razorbacks. On the same day that produced a transfer commitment for the Hogs in Eastern Michigan tight end Andreas Paaske, Top247 defensive lineman Charleston Collins of Little Rock (Ark.) Mills took to X (former Twitter) to announce he was shutting down his recruitment.

Collins' announcement comes after weeks of smoke surrounding him and Ole Miss, which included a pair of Crystal Ball predictions for him to flip to the Rebels.

"Over this last year it’s been a long process and I’m blessed to be in the situation. To all the schools that recruited me I really appreciate your belief in me as a person and as a player but with that being said… “ITS OVER”! I’m 1000% committed to The University of Arkansas!!!!"

Collins has been committed to the instate Razorbacks since April 21 but took a visit to Oxford late in the season while Sam Pittman's status as Arkansas' head coach remained uncertain during a 4-8 run.

Collins became Arkansas' highest-rated commitment in November when his cousin, fellow Top247 member and Pine Bluff (Ark.) wide receiver Courtney Crutchfield, de-committed from the Hogs. The Razorbacks are still working to get Crutchfield back on board, and they'll have to wait until February for his final decision as he will not sign in the early signing period, which begins on December 20.

Collins was recently presented with his jersey for next month's All-American game. With ten days remaining before the early signing period begins, Arkansas has 18 verbal commitments for the Class of 2024, good for 24th in the nation but only 13th out of 16 teams in the always brutal SEC race.

The recruitment of Charleston Collins had heated up in recent weeks, as rumors of a flip to conference foe Ole Miss started flying.

The rumors started because Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin had posted on his X (formerly Twitter) account that he was in Pine Bluff, seemingly to meet with Collins and four-star wide receiver target Courtney Crutchfield on Monday of last week.

Collins, however, shut down any rumors of his departure with a post late Sunday afternoon.

Collins is currently ranked the No. 130 player in the nation and No. 1 in the state of Arkansas in the 2024 class according to Rivals. He chose the Hogs on April 21 over offers from LSU, Auburn, Ole Miss and others.

Last season, Collins posted 115 total tackles, 31 tackles for loss and 12 sacks for Little Rock Mills. He also, surprisingly, played on the offensive side of the ball, primarily running the ball in short-yardage situations. He rushed for 49 yards and three touchdowns.

Arkansas has two highly-rated defensive ends in the 2024 class, as Collins joins four-star Kavion Henderson — who has also reaffirmed he is sticking with the Razorbacks — in the class.
