Best and worst thing you saw from the Ole Miss game

Best: For me, it had to be the run game. This offense that's been implemented at Auburn has been best when balanced. 46 rushes vs 31 pass attempts. I think that's right around where it needs to be. That doesn't look as balanced as it was due to the run game running out the clock for the last 5 mins. And speaking of, that was a thing of beauty. Get a stop on 4th down to get the ball back with 4:54 left in the game with an 11 point lead and run it down their throats. Force them to use their remaining timeouts and seal the game in victory formation. Just beautiful...
I know some will discount it because it was Ole Miss and they aren't exactly the UGA defense. That's a fair point, but I watched the past 2 or 3 OM games, and their defense has been playing pretty damn good. Especially up front against the run. I was really concerned before the game that they would be stout against the run.
Worst: Ball security. We were fortunate that they weren't able to take advantage (some due to Kiffin's decisions) and turn them into points. The muffed punt could have been a giant momentum swing in Ole Miss' favor but the defense stood tall.
Overall, it's a huge win for the program and this team. They are playing with some confidence right now and we all can see them improving each time they take the field. After some questions early in the year about the coaching and schemes being installed I think the staff is doing a phenomenal job of planning to the strengths of the team. And the adjustments have worked.
Another huge game in College Station this week that I think is going to be a tough, old school, ball-control game where both teams lean on their defenses. I think we match up well against what they want to do and feel good about our chances. WDE boys.

Is we win Saturday the Iron Bowl suddenly looks like a nightmare waiting to happen for the Tahd.

best thing i saw was our defense bowing up after coughing up the football twice
worst thing i saw was the how our defense responded to the HUNH. Not in position, looking to the sidelines, leaving receivers wide open, etc

Best: receivers and Bo looked sharp and IMPROVED.
Worst: would have liked to have seen offense capitalize on Kiffin’s bone headed 4th down failures.
All in all? War damn eagle. Future looks bright under Harsin.

I'm still very concerned about our OL. We look a lot better, but I don't think OM/Ark are great front 7s.
I want to see our OL impose their will against TAMU before I feel better about our chances in the Iron Bowl

They look at the Auburn sideline because the Defensive Coaches are calling the coverage's between plays. Nerve racking as hell ....but it's what everyone does ...
We still aren't playing good zone defense.
When we started the last drive ....I thought, What we need now is Hunter, Tank, Hunter, Tank ....and run it out. If Hunter was a little more powerful, defenses would wear out quicker. The surprise and what you waned to see, was a more cohesive offensive line after two weeks. Looks like everyone learned a little more football during the off week and didn't look like a Gus team that forgot what a football field looked like after two weeks off.

They really need to come up with a better more efficient system to communicate calls

The worst was special teams and it wasn’t even close.
- muffed punt
- 3 penalties on kick offs
- missed field goal
- delay of game

Best -Catching the ball.
Potential bad - Bo slinging the ball around on an outstretched arm while scrambling. Teams are going to be looking for that in the future.

its more about the speed in which the calls get in to the players. they prepped for the HUNH from Ole Miss and still had issues with it.
Special teams KO blocking was abysmal as well

-- best things:
* first half offense, especially Tank busting some long runs. we've been waiting all year to see him have a big game, it was great to see him get it.
* second half defense, especially on 4th downs. holding that OM team to 3 points was very impressive, even with the chunk plays at times.
-- worst things:
* second half offense
* first half defense
* special teams mistakes were terrible

Best:
WRs continue to catch passes very well.
Liked the play calling. There may be call here and there we go ‘why’ but there were some really nice calls. That flat pass to Hunter was fantastic. Some called runs for Bo too. 10 different receivers. Nice. Anyone that doesn’t like Bobo’s offense just is predjudiced towards his past.
Worst.
Special teams almost cost us a game and killed good kickoffs. They have not been a good spot this year especially on punt returns.
Also was disappointed we could not get but 3 points in the 2nd half. Got to be able to get TDs at home to finish them off.

Best: defensive adjustments in the second half
Worst: special teams sucked arse.it seemed like we had holding called against us on all of our kickoff returns. That and the muffed punt

I don't think our special teams is use to getting opportunities to return kicks. They'll be much better next week. Hars will make sure of that.

I was like -=-- can we stop getting a great return called back by a fricking penalty????
That was my main irritation --- which show how happy I was overall.
