I worry this UAPB game will be UGLY

....for multiple reasons.
Someone comfort me here, but this is just a horrible game all around. UAPB is bad in their own tiny little conference, and we should blow them out of the water with our hands tied behind our backs.
Only problem is that they'll be playing their absolute hardest to prove something, while the Hogs will barely care about this game at all. Especially since it's in Little Rock and the dump that is WMS, which is actually much closer to UAPB than Fayetteville.
I think we'll come out and look uninspired and probably struggle for a bit, and make mistakes everywhere. We'll still win pretty easily, but the score won't be as lopsided as it should.
What is the upside to this game? The players have to be thinking this is one they just want to get over with, and we tend to play to our competition. I wouldn't be surprised if we come out looking terrible, and that's not for any real reason other than the circumstances.
It's an 11am game in Little Rock, 2.5 hours away from our ACTUAL home field. It'll be UAPB's Superbowl and chance on the big stage, while our guys won't give 2 shits (for good reason). I think it'll be ugly for a while and that makes me wonder who thought this game was a good idea.
Could we at least not play ASU or UCA? Someone that'll give us a little challenge to get up for? This game is pointless and the Hogs only have anything to lose, nothing to gain here.

I’m fine with the game. Get to 5-3, rest guys, rest guys next week….Come back and beat State and re-enter top 25.

I don't think Sam would let these guys be so uninspired that these guys become a problem.
It would take divided locker room Chad Morris bs for me to worry about this one. We could probably call the same 3 run plays every down and steamroll these guys.

I'm fine with the actual game itself, I like that we threw some money to an in-state school for a rent-a-win instead of out of state.
But what is the upside here? UAPB is a glorified community college with a 1-5 record, and those 5 losses were not to any great teams
I don't think our guys will be too inspired to play their best and will think they can coast to an easy win - which they should. But historically that's meant a really shitty performance for the Hogs

UAPB is horrible. Arkansas Tech and others could beat them. Arkansas State would score 40 points on them before the half. East Mississippi community college would beat them by double digits. This is a game where Arkansas should rest multiple starters on both sides of the ball and still win big.

C'mon man. Let's play those players who are allowed 3 game without blowing their eligibility to play, get some experience, see their moxie. That is a major purpose, plus we haven't been to a bowl in like forever.. And this is one step closer.

Enormous understatement
That ULM team was an above average G5 team. UAPB is the worst team in the SWAC. The SWAC does not even compete in the FCS playoffs because their best teams cannot be competitive in them. We should score almost every time we snap the ball.

Yeah I’m actually kinda excited to see guys like Bryce Stephens play. Maybe Ketron gets his first TD.

I don’t know what is/was worse, playing Bama week 3 and being beat up all season or playing Bama and LSU in the back half after you are beat up.

This year is definitely the worse, Georgia week four beats us up, then we still gotta play Bama and LSU.

I agree with this part at least, I'm more so wishing we would've scheduled a cupcake before the bye that would actually give our guys a SLIGHT challenge but still able to put in our 2nd and 3rd string for a half or so.
I just know how we tend to play in shitty matchup games like this, uninspired. Maybe putting in the backups will give us some fire since they all want to look good.
I'm not worried about a loss in the least, just an ugly score and lots of mistakes because we don't really care about this at all. I'm hoping we get to see Hornsby for most of the game, he needs the live game experience
