With Army in 2022. They went instead with an easier opponent Akron. Is this how far they have fallen???

Did you see how bad Auburn beat Akron? I don't blame Tennessee for wanting an easy win.

Army might not "win" a lot of games against SEC opponents but I bet you there would be some sore bodies after defending these guys for 60 minutes on triple option.

It's as if they are trying desperately to frick themselves in their own arse. The never ending merry-go-round of really dumb decisions. As an OM fan I'm pretty well versed on dumb frickery but you have to stand back and admire Tenner

Did they completely stiff Army or just buyout the game? If they just bought out the game I don't know why anyone gives a frick about this.

Next they're gonna cancel their game with Florida and schedule Mizzou twice.

It would be awesome it if LSU managed to schedule all the service academies in one year at home.

Same way we got ripped for canceling the UNC game. Same thing will happen- people will forget in two weeks.

We're shite and taking any wins we can.

Our program is filled with pussies at the top, the football team doesn't have a single SEC quality player, and the coach looks like spoiled milk in human form. We are way passed getting embarrassed.

They deserve to get ripped for it. I honestly do not understand the rationale behind scheduling all these shitty non-conference games: it's bad for the fans, it's bad for the program's perception, and it's a lost revenue opportunity. I would rather see Mizzou go 5-7 every year but play three or four solid non-conference games instead of going 6-6 or 7-5 but playing North Texas, Central Michigan, and SEMO like this season. There is nothing to gain from playing those schools, but if we lose it's program-decimating.

For Mizzou, we should be scheduling some combination of Kansas, Kansas State, Nebraska, Illinois, Iowa, and Iowa State every year. Those are mostly historic rivalry games for us that will get fans in the seat and help us on the recruiting front (particularly Illinois in that regard since we get a lot of our best players from that state).

I honestly think Mizzou's attendance dip in recent years has as much do to with the terrible home game schedule as it does the protest disaster in 2015. It seems like every season, our first two to three home games are against a shitty FCS school followed by two mid-majors. I'm not going to pay $75+ and drive two hours each way to attend those games. And I know for a lot of Mizzou folks in KC, they are trying to justify going to a Mizzou-SEMO game instead of sticking around and going to Arrowhead for Mahomes and the Chiefs on Sunday, which is also two hours closer.
