LSU ain't PAC12 ready

Technically, Bama has only lost to Southern Miss 5 times. Bama had to forfeit the 93 game because a player signed a napkin.

Hasn't LSU lost to Tulane 22 times?

About as surprised as I am that LSU has lost to Rice 13 times and tied them 5 more. It’s the same situation, really. Bama has played USM more frequently than any other OOC opponent, so they’ve definitely had their opportunities to pull a couple upsets. I’m actually glad the game is back on the schedule this year.

Wow, Southern Miss has had a lot more success against Bama than LSU!!

Fun fact: Our longest win streak vs Southern Miss (11), matches our longest win streak vs LSU.

So. Miss use to have very good teams. Not so much now.

Southern Miss used to be the thorn in the side of a lot of SEC teams. They beat Alabama, Auburn, and UGA in the 1990s. Others too, maybe, but those are the ones I know.

Seems I remember Southern Miss had a pretty decent quarterback in the late 80s, early 90s...

I'm surprised it's not more. USM was pesky as shite during the 80s-early 2000s and we played every damn season.
It's kind of wild we went 8-1 vs USM from 1997 to 2007 given how bad we were and how solid USM was most of those years.
Alabama and USM played 23 times between 1980 and 2005. And then USM got too big for their britches, fired Bower, got a home game with Nebraska and decided they would only play Alabama if they got a 2 for 1.

Brett Favre was responsible for some of that.
He beat Auburn as well.
He beat Auburn as well.

Let’s just say that USM was way ahead of the NIL curve.

Brett Farve beat Alabama and Auburn in 1990.

Not surprised. Bama has been trash except during the bahr and Saban years.

Not surprised. Southern Miss is tough as hell. They even have it plastered in their stadium. Anyone, anytime. Mad respect for Southern Miss.

Not surprising at all, this has often been a tough game ever since the Coach Collins days. And Coach Bower was always a tough out. Why he was sacked I'll never understand.

I think Southern Miss has a better winning pct vs Alabama than LSU does
