So who is Anthony Richardson? Cam Newton or Kenny “Trill” Hill?

Richardson is undoubtedly the most interesting player in the SEC to this point. Has a 95+ grade on PFF and has even the most respectable UF fans claiming he is a once in a lifetime QB.
Obviously, we’ve only seen him against USF and FAU, and he’s only thrown 11 passes, but he certainly looks the part.
Is he the reincarnation of Cam Newton, or another QB who has been overhyped due to simply out-athleting lesser teams? Top player in CFB to keep an eye on IMO

To early to tell. Small number of plays and quality of competition. I'll sit and wait. So far so good tho.

he might be overrated so probably Kenny Hill.

Hill had maybe 100 career rush yards

At this stage I think we can safely assume that Richardson is not reading the defense nor is he processing the offense to the degree of an Emory Jones. Mullen's must be seeing a lot of physical errors by this kid.

The first one to put on a dress.

Richardson is ahead of where Cam was at this point.
Hopefully he progresses like Cam going forward.

KJ Jefferson has already claimed the title of 2021 Cam Newton.

Anthony Richardson is one of those rare special athletes that is playing QB. The more comfortable he gets with snaps and reps that stronger he is going to be and will very likely end up with some staggering numbers before he leaves Gainsville if he stays healthy. With that said, i'm interested to see how he progresses this year but he's a scary talent. Congrats to UF for finding this kid.

He played high school football 2 miles from the Swamp.
Mullen wanted Richardson and Beck (UGA) that class.

Probably neither. Everybody wants the next this or the next that, but anyone who turns out to be any good is his own man.

Steals a laptop and ends up at Auburn?

He looked better than EJ or Trask in the Oklahoma game.
Against the scrubs, presumably, but we're starting to get a larger sample size

Believe this will be a really compelling game to watch. Surprised it isn't getting more hype.

My guess is something in between....but closer to Cam than to Trill. That said, Cam was truly a rare breed of player, so it will remain to be seen how close he is.
He has the size and speed to be a really good runner. If he can be just an average passer he will give a lot of teams fits. From what little I have seen, he seems to have a really strong arm. It seems he just flicks his wrist and the ball takes off. He probably needs to be a little more consistent with his accuracy, but he is young and that will develop.

Just the fact that he is seeing the field indicates this, for sure. If I were a Florida fan, I would be very excited at the possibilities.

He won the long toss Elite 11 competition at just under 70 yards in high school.

Eastside is further than 2 miles from the swamp. State roads 26 and 20 haven't even converged into University that "far" out. Probably 5 or 6 miles
