Who do you think was one of the best football players Not to win the Heisman. Based on college career only. For me it's Keith Byars(84), Adrian Peterson (04),Darren McFadden (06),Orlando Pace(96) and Hershel Walker (80). I think Hershel could have been the 2nd player to win the Heisman twice.

Herschel was definitely robbed in 1980 but the culture said freshmen weren't even supposed to play, much less win awards.

Rex Grossman got robbed as a soph.

Derrick Thomas dominated about as much as you can in one year on D. He was better than the rest for sure.

I’d add Larry Fitzgerald and Derrick Thomas

Peyton Manning. Woodson was a great player. Great pro. But Peyton Manning was robbed.

Ndamukong Suh. One of the scariest college football players I've ever seen.

I always felt that if the Heisman was for the best player. It should have included defense players too. Not just an offense award. I know Woodson won but he played on special teams too and did a little WR too.

Archie Manning, Peyton Manning, Eli Manning.

Darren McFadden finished 2nd place in 2006 and 2007.
In 2006, Troy Smith's sorry arse beat him

If I'm being honest, I feel like Trent Richardson got shorted a little because of the espn RG3 hype machine 2011. The other player who was hurt too was Tyrann Mathieu. Dude should have won it really.
Perception of a bad OL game from LSU in 2015 really hurt Fournette's standing more so than it should have but yeah, Derrick Henry was the right choice.

The fact that neither Archie, nor Peyton, nor Eli won the Heisman means the Heisman is shite.
