Thrid visit upcoming this month. Have to believe he's our class of '23 QB if we'll take his commitment right now.

Arkansas football doesn't have the prestige like other elite programs have. When a top level recruit picks Arkansas, they get bumped down a little. When a four star commits, they get bumped down almost to a three star given time.
It is the opposite when they commit to someone like Bama and get the Bama boost.

I think we take one QB and grab a grad transfer next offseason. Let them plus Hornsby compete for the starting job in spring/fall camp.

That kid should probably be asking Darren McFadden to take a paternity test

His open field speed definitely is reminiscent of DMac

I’m kind of serious I’m sure DMC had his pick of the lot about 15 years ago

After looking over our current 2023 commits updated rankings on the services - our WR commit Anthony Evans after being offer by Georgia was bumped on On3 to 89 grade 3-star.
We have commitments coming over the next week with recent crystal balls from Wiltfong for Luke Brown, Malachi Singleton and Vysen Lang.

Paris (Tenn.) Henry County four-star offensive lineman Luke Brown has committed to Arkansas. The 6-5, 300-pounder went public with his decision on Tuesday, becoming the 11th commitment in the Hogs’ 2023 recruiting class.
Brown chose the Razorbacks over the likes of Auburn, Florida State, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisville, Michigan State, Mississippi State, Missouri, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Virginia Tech and several others. He made his decision on Saturday while on Arkansas' campus but waited until Tuesday to announce it via Instagram.
According to the 247Sports Composite rankings, Brown is the No. 258 overall prospect in the country, No. 12 among interior offensive linemen, and the No. 5 overall prospect in his home state of Tennessee.
The 247Sports rankings have Brown as the No. 11 interior offensive lineman in the nation and the No. 6 player in the Volunteer State.
Brown was recruited to Arkansas by second-year offensive line coach Cody Kennedy, who helped host Brown on his first unofficial trip to Fayetteville in March.
247Sports National Recruiting Analyst Cooper Petagna gave Brown a positive review in his thorough evaluation in February.
“Verified at 6-foot-5 and 300-pounds plus, possesses a wide frame and limited growth potential to add additional weight to his frame. Will need one or two years in a collegiate strength and conditioning program to shape his body. Displays above average athletic ability at the left tackle position.
Appears to have above average knee bend and hip flexibility in and out of his stance. Flashes some quick twitch explosiveness off the ball. Demonstrates good foot and body quickness out of his run set. Possesses adequate foot speed and quickness and his pass set, could see him transition to right tackle or inside at the next level. Appears to have above average play strength at the point of attack, flashes some ability to move defenders naturally off the line of scrimmage. Plays with a good understanding of leverage and body control. Can sustain and finish. Plays with a physicality. Flashes some ability to play in space on the perimeter and at the second level.
Big body, who is a better athlete at the tackle position than given credit for. Has the ability to play right tackle at in college or could kick inside depending on the situation. Projects as an above average starter a Power Five program at the next level.”

Paris (Tenn.) Henry County four-star 2023 offensive tackle Luke Brown is the latest to give Sam Pittman and Arkansas his pledge, announcing his commitment to the Razorbacks on Tuesday evening. He is the 11th prospect to join the fold, a class that rises from No. 5 to No. 2 in the 247Sports Composite Team Recruiting Rankings.
The 6-foot-5, 300-pound Brown was in Fayetteville over the weekend where he told Pittman in person.
“It was a moment I don’t think I’ll ever forget,” Brown told 247Sports. “The emotion in the room was unmatched. The pride I felt from making my parents happy is something I hope everyone gets to experience some day. The whole staff welcomed me with open arms and I’m ready to start this new chapter in my life.”
Brown’s offer list also included the likes of Vanderbilt, Auburn, Florida State, Georgia, Kentucky, Michigan State, Mississippi State, Missouri, Ole Miss, Tennessee and Virginia Tech among others.
“Arkansas is a special place,” Brown said. “Under Coach Pittman and Coach (Cody) Kennedy, I don’t know how you don’t pick Arkansas if you have the opportunity as on offensive lineman. The energy and culture that is being established is gonna have Arkansas competing for an SEC title in a few years.
“The place just felt like home, so I decided that’s where I’m going.”

Paris (Tenn.) Henry County offensive lineman Luke Brown has committed to Arkansas, he announced Tuesday on social media.
Brown is the No. 293 overall prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 17 interior offensive lineman and the No. 6 junior in the state of Tennessee.
He named a list of eight programs as his top schools in February, but it didn’t include Arkansas. Among the contenders were Auburn, Florida State, Kentucky, Memphis, Michigan State, Missouri, Vanderbilt and Virginia.
Another notable program missing was in-state Tennessee, which offered Brown but hasn’t recruited him as hard as the other programs.
“These eight have been on me the most and the systems most of these schools play in, I feel like that where I fit in best,” Brown told the Tennessean.
After visiting Arkansas in early March, Luke Brown visited again this past weekend, where the Razorbacks impressed him enough to get him onboard this early.
He is Arkansas’ fifth four-star commit in the 2023 cycle thus far, joining four-star tight ends Luke Hasz, Shamar Easter and Jaden Hamm, as well as cornerback Dallas Young and EDGE Quincy Rhodes Jr.
The Razorbacks hold the No. 9 class nationally, according to the On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings.
