Ball Licking Granny is hoping they can go cozy up in a pod with Vandy, Tennessee and Auburn and not have to see us. I'd love to keep them as a cross division/pod rival.

Actually, I have been saying I hope they don't go to Divisions precisely because I don't want to see divisions of LSU in the West with Mizzou coming over and Bama and Auburn going East. That means a 7-2 format and LSU playing Bama, as well as Florida, Auburn every 5 years, Home in say year 1 then away in year 5, etc.
I have maintained the 3 Permanent and 6 rotation. You all are going to want Auburn and TENN, which are your 2 historic rivals and maybe MSU who is only 75 miles or so from Bama's campus.
LSU would play Texas A&M, Ole Miss and Florida under my 3 team permanent
Under my proposal, LSU plays its 3 permanent games and 6 rotation teams in years 1 and 2 (so we play Bama home and home) then years 3 and 4, the other 6, then starting in year 5 Bama rotates back on.
Why are you so upset about not playing LSU every year? Some Bama fans want to go to Divisions with you all and Auburn moving East which would give the East 7 of the 10 remaining charter members of the SEC in the East, the other 3 being LSU, Ole Miss, and MSU in the West. In other words, if the SEC wants to expand to 16, at least we (Bama) will be in the Division that still has the historic SEC feel to it.
For the record, I have heard Auburn, UGA, Florida fans say the same thing. Old time Auburn fans get to have their version of the Masters Amen Corner with Bama/TENN/UGA/Florida back on their schedule
That is precisely the reason I am against the Division format. I don't like the POD system for the same reason, you can't maintain enough historic SEC games.

Their program's entire history is defined by getting dicked over by Bama whenever they start to experience success.
