Will we also get Dazed and Confused as well as Interstellar on 12 hour cycles? If so, count me in!

I'm pretty sure that they will just pull the plug on that channel, as far as viewers are concerned. The SEC considered a multiple channel approach when starting SECN but decided against it. Pac-12's experience has done nothing to suggest that more is better.
Legally, Texas will have to buy out ESPN and IMG in order to get their 3rd tier rights back so that they can be shown on SECN. That should be their problem, not the SEC's. But, I would imagine that ESPN will let it go for nothing, and might even help them pay off IMG.

ESPN has made pretty awful decisions the last decade or so starting with that network.
You do know ESPN owns the SECN, right?

Sounds like LSU fan here.

I mean yeah you can always turn it into something else but it won't survive as it was. Hell, no one was watching it anyways.

Nobody but I will remember this, but I’m telling y’all that you are all underestimating UT’s draw and size. UT is about to become a serious foe to reckon with.
At least in football. As universities, there’s already no competition.
I am honestly surprised that people keep saying this. I can only speculate it is out of pure ignorance.
People said this about Notre Dame in the 90s as well. I know Longhorns tell anyone they meet a similar line and a few overly ambitious ESPN execs tried to set up a real world experiment. The UT athletic department tried to monetize this myth as well, setting up Texas COOP stores all through Texas assuming T-Shirt fans by the millions would flock in and binge buy all things Longhorn.
Turns out it is just another State U in the very, very crowded field of college football. The stores failed, the network failed, the T-Shirt fans don't really exist outside the state of Texas. No one really cares.

Don't worry. They're just gonna take over the SEC network. Sankey to ESPN: "So you guys understand that we need to definitely spotlight our new girlfriend here. I want Texas Longhorn highlights 2 to 1 over all other schools in the conference..."
Meanwhile, casual SEC fan: "Fuuuuuuck. Longhorn highlights AGAIN?!"
By the time any of you dipshits who want them here notice, it'll be all over but the crying.

Just curious if anything else has been reported on what will happen to the Longhorn Network after Texas joins the SEC. I haven't seen any articles on it.
