Or just not do dumb shite. He was being a dickhead and purposely riding away from a cop. Were they a little overhyped about it? Yea, but any situation for a cop is high stress these days.

Or don’t go looking for a fight. They were obviously after this dude before the video filmed this. Your simple give him a ticket scenario has to work both ways.

If this were an isolated incident it would be one thing.
CSPD arrested an A&M running back in 2002 because his dog's vaccinations weren't up to date. One of their idiot cops tried to confiscate my military ID after I got back from Iraq in 2004 because he didn't believe I was 25 years old and thought my ID was counterfeit. His partner yanked him back quickly when I threatened to call the local MP detachment.

I can understand why he was wrestled to the ground. He refused to stop after a brief chase.

Having said that, there was no need for the taser after you knocked him down. The guy clearly stopped his bike and stopped running. If two police officers can't put cuffs on one guy, then they're severely incompetent and CSPD needs to retrain their officers.
The guy is supposedly a veteran suffering from mental health issues, which has a lot of people a bit pissed at CSPD.

How could the person filming possibly know what he was being chased for? Its pretty clear that the chase started well before the biker was in the recorder's sight.

Seriously just because someone posts a video which is clearly not from the beginning and says "X" is what happened, doesn't make it true. There were two cops after him, so that rarely is the case in a jaywalking incident.

There has to be more than jaywalking. He had two units after him before he even hit the crosswalk. There’s got to something else than just jaywalking that has the poo poo after him
