And not miss a beat?

I can’t say I ever recall a team losing a 1st round QB 2 WR star RB and LT to a draft this early before. I know bama recruits unlike any other and stockpiles talent but I just don’t see Mitchie Bolden and young replacing Waddle Smith and Mac. RB will likely be by committee and I’m sure they have a future first rounder there.

You might want to look at the 2020 draft as far as what Bama lost.

The 2020 bama team was FAR better than the 2019 team to me. If Bryce young 1st round pick in 2 years I’ll eat crow

I think the 2022 qb commit Ty Simpson is the future for Bama he’s going to be an nfl qb

Probably. Bama is a machine.

It’s not just recruiting. Their level of player development and ability to not miss a beat even with high assistant coach turnover is unreal

Do you want it fried, grilled or blackened?

I don't disagree. 2019 was deeper on talent, but 2020 was the tightest, most cohesive CFB Team I've ever seen. A lot of stars committed to each other and the team. Completely selfless effort.

Mac was as excited about Waddle, Smith and Surtain getting picked as he was himself. He couldn't stay in his cubicle. The 2020 team chemistry and work ethic will be what is hard to replace, not the lost talent

Worst take of the month. He has the skillset, surrounding talent, and hype from analysts that will carry him to a top 5 pick unless he completely unravels or is injured

Nah. He's a little guy and small qb's don't get picked in the top 5.

I think it’s fairly safe to bet on Saban at this point.

Did you notice when we lost QB Tua, WRs Ruggs, and Jeudy, All-American Jedric Wills at OT in 2020 to the first round last season? How in the world could BAMA lose so many offensive pieces and possibly thrive and have the audacity to think they could win a natty the very next season? Silly BAMA.

Harris, smith, waddle, Leatherwood all had 1st-3rd round grades and returned...only surprise was Jones. I think what the OP is getting at is, who is returning that could have gone in 1st-3rd rounds on offense?

Russell Wilson helped change the perception of height matters and Kyler Murray benefited from it.

Bryce is in position to do the same. Scouts and analysts create a lot of self-licking ice cream cones, as they frame a player out of HS and look mostly to confirm their bias along the way. Unless Young busts or is injured, he is a top 5 lock.

This team will need a couple of the freshman WR to step up. Traeshon Holden and Hall are great WR but we need a speed type WR. This offense will be good but they’re not 2020 good.

Bama lost Tua, Ruggs, Wills, and Jeudy last year with all being Jrs and in 2021 a repeat with only the names changed.

I think the bigger question is whether they replace COVID and not miss a beat.

I swear it's like groundhog day all over again.

I Bama has a solid 14 yr performance pattern that should give you the answer to your question.

I don’t think it was Bama being better in 2020/then in 2019 . The SEC was a little down in 2020. A&M was only other team that actually improved.
