I would not be shocked if NBA teams get a good look at him and decide he's worth drafting this year. Would not surprise me one bit.
Sort of the double edged sword of the Oats system. It creates NBA ready athletes, which means more early departures than other places. On the other hand, it provides a huge edge in getting talent.

Gonna depend on how confident Jarin is. If he really believes in himself he'll say thanks but I'm gonna be a top 10 pick next year.

The thing is... Oats can manage whatever happens. The only person in the program who would bother me if he left is Nate Oats.

Onyenso is not on the list of names in the draft. That is a surprise. I would take him if he is ready to commit but Oats is not a coward like me.

I would not take him. He’s playing one team against the others for money. I hope Nate tells hum to get lost and signs Oyenso from Kentucky. I like him better anyway.

The reality is he's 6'11", can clearly shoot, has a year of high level college ball under his belt, and has a basketball pedigree to boot. Not to mention a sky high ceiling given his age. There's a solid chance a team takes him this year. We need to be prepared for that.

I think he's probably gone. Kinda surprised he didn't enter the portal too in case the feedback he gets is surprisingly bad. I just have a hard time believing that Stevenson entering the draft less than 24 hour after Nelson announcing he is coming back is a mere coincidence. He was probably content to stick around and try to play his way into the lottery, but now doesn't think he will get the minutes to do that and will roll the dice on being taken in the 25-35 range.

I know all rational people would commit to Bama without visiting other schools or even Bama. But some of these damn kids these days like to check the places out and see how they like it. It's ridiculous.

I don’t see it like that at all. The NBA announced the list today but he probably entered his name in at the same time as Sears. He just didn’t make an announcement for it.

That and if you just didn't recruit anyone looking for money you would end up with a shitty mid-major roster. Good players get paid now. Even a couple of born and raised Gumps like Miller and Sears aren't playing here for free anymore.

Cmon, you can’t be this dumb. The draft deadline was Saturday, this is just the NBA releasing the official list. Stevenson was in Miami with Sears training last week, Alabama already knew he was entering and likely returning.

My understanding is he entered the draft with no announcement. This may have been done a while back. It just came out today because the list was released. It may have nothing to do with Nelson. This is the story on BOL.

I guess that's what I get for not considering the source was Rodak.

I heard Ugonna Onyenso is trying to show off his shooting ability if so Coach Oats is the right call here..he got to put that work in though.

5,000 threes this off-season.

Anyone around here for Primo has already been surprised once. I hope he returns, but he's young as hell and has potential. Ask Duke or Kentucky fans how that often works out.

I just refuse to believe Nate would let the Bediako fiasco happen all over again. He either knows Jarin is going to withdraw or he has a plan to replace him. No way he gets blindsided like that again.
