You do realize that's a college kid he's going against? He's going to get bullied in the NFL if he doesn't bulk up some. He's going to be a solid NFL WR, no doubt but his size is going to see him pressed at the line.

Your eyes aren't deceiving you George.

Devonta Smith is probably bulking up now, and I'm sure that is why he'd rather wait for the Alabama Pro Day. Measurables matter to the NFL

True you do not see this often (declining to be measured). He will be a good pickup, but the NFL decision makers DO tend to over-value these measurements. Obviously he will not get taller (probably close to 6ft tall) but my hunch is that he finished the season on the light side, probably would not weigh what he wanted, and will use the time between now and Bama Pro day to put back on a few quality pounds, then let them measure him then/there. He is jockeying for a high 1st round pick, and sometimes these "little" things can mean the difference in getting picked a few slots higher/lower and a million dollars difference on his signing bonus.
Agree.

So if Stingley is soft and overrated like Bammers say why are they using him all the time to prop up Smith? Just curious.

Bull fricking shite! This is what is wrong with the world today! Everyone wanting to try and set new standards! Every NFL prospect has been measured for height and weight! Why all of a sudden Smith gets a pass? Again, bullshite!
NFL teams are more than welcome to not pick him

He will have other opportunities to be measured. Stop spazzing out and acting like a psycho.

If Mac jones is 6’3 then smith looked 6’1 next to him. Either way he’s not below 5’11.

He will be another NFL bust like most Bama stars. One day the scouts will realize its Sabans system plus top talent all over the field that lets players like Smith look awesome where they otherwise would be average to above average. Example Tua: without Bama having 2-3 great receivers that no college defense can realistically cover at one time he is meh and it showed at Miami

These takes get dumber by the year. 57 former players on rosters. 5 on pro bowl rosters. 4 on all-pro team.

Hill and Hardiman for KC are small and Isiah Mackenzie for the Bills is small.
In space, speed is more important, you got the tes for the physical work.

Yikes.
Let me help: 5’10” 155lbs
AKA - he’ll be on SEC Network in 5 years.

Devonta is the Reggie Bush of WRs. Amazing player in CFB but doesn’t project equally to the NFL. He will be great in the NFL but not quite good enough to be in the HOF or to be a consistent pro bowler.

I'd love to see him drop to the Titans. Pairing him up with AJ Brown would be unfair. But the chance of that happening is ridiculously low, maybe even as low as Mizzou's chance to win the SEC once in the next decade.

So much of this has to do with (poor) coaching and schemes. Lots of players are simply misused in the NFL because coaches try to shoehorn players into a scheme instead of building the scheme around their players.
So yeah, it's entirely possible Devonta could bust in the NFL but, barring injury, that would be because he's drafted by an NFL team that uses him improperly. If he goes to a team that takes advantage of his talents, he's going to tear it up.

You're a plain dumbass if you think that kids height and weight matters any more than a liberals opinion.
He's fricking 3/4 inches taller than Steven Smith and probably 40lbs heavier. And bigger than Edleman, Amendola, etc etc etc etc.
