Texas A&M has been a much better football school than UT. A&M should have made the playoffs and thats driving UT Boosters insane.

Nope. It’s because Texas is losing. It has nothing to with the best Aggie year ever, but still no championship.

Sark hasn’t been a good head coach in his career so honestly hiring him and expecting him to bring that university back to prominence is nothing more than a shot in the dark. Same with Kiffin. Both are extremely good offensively, but when they are responsible for everything they have struggled so far. We will see, but that hire isn’t because of Jimbo. If they were going to hire someone because of Jimbo they would have big dicked and went for an actual head coach that they know is capable.

No one lives in a vacuum. Do they feel Jimbo's presence in the state, with the way he is gobbling up elite Texas recruits into the program, how could they not feel their presence? The playoff push has been national in scoop all season. The SEC and the West division is the pinnacle of college football and has not one peer in the Big 12. Little brother looks a look bigger in the SEC.

Not really. They both won 1 NY6 bowl recently. They’re on equal footing

What Texas fans haven't realized yet is that Fisher has built something sustainable at A&M. Will A&M ever win a championship? I don't know, because there is an element of luck in that. What I do know is that Fisher has changed A&M into an SEC team with a hard-nosed defense, and the ability to run the football on offense. A team capable of staying in the T10 consistently ...
The interesting part is that the success last year was with a bunch of three star Sumlin players that bought in to his vision. The next wave of players are all rated higher, and have learned from the seniors about what it takes to be successful
A&M will look different on offense next year, because the next QB isn't a game manager like Mond. Don't know if it will be better, but it will definitely be different. As far as talent goes, Fisher has raised the profile for A&M that we are no longer entirely dependent on Texas for talent. Horns will get some, and we will get some - always has been this way
2022 class is looking really good, and it doesn't matter what Texas does anymore - we will be just fine going forward because our trench recruiting is next level. Pretty soon we will be playing the elite in the SEC on an even playing field, which hasn't happened yet. Best is yet to come for A&M

So they wouldn’t have tried to make the best hire they could if A&M was losing?
What?
What?

A&M people are some unjustifiably narcissistic sumbitches.

UT hired Sark to compete with OU. A&M is just an afterthought to them.

How many championships has Fisher won at A&M ?

Sark is a better play-caller than Jimbo

Texas AM is a false prophet

texsa hired Sark because they can't beat us. Same reason they hired Hermanus. Don't be such clowns....

UTx has no concern for Aggie, and it drives them mad.
Their move to hire Sark and an all star cast of coast-to-coast recruiting and player development oriented coaches and assistants has everything to do with OU and a determination to win Big 12 titles first.
Give Sark a couple full recruiting cycles with the coaching talent he has assembled and there will be a great deal of talent in Austin.
Sark's biggest issue will be how much he lets Flood run the offense vs how much he involves himself, especially when a full complement of talent arrives.
aTm had a blip on the radar season on 2020. They are postured to have another blip in 2021 with all of the talent, coaches, analysts/staff Bama loses and the other issues/turnover that AU and LSU are facing. 2021 is shaping up to be aTm's best chance to make a move. If Jimbo can't win the west this year, it may never be in the cards.

Whatever negative has been said is probably defensive and probably wrong. Sark is one of the top offensive minds at any level. His alcohol issues prevented his success in the past. But if he has indeed put that addiction behind him, after two years with Coach Saban he should have learned how to organize a head coaching job in great detail.
The past two years you never once saw Saban light into Sark... and he used to do it as entertainment with Kiffin and Dabole. He entrusted Sark with game day control of Alabama against Auburn and praised him...which means he thinks Sark can manage a game.
I strongly believe that Sark as head coach is going to be a comer in the next three years, maybe “sooner” given the collections of stiffs in that conference. Texas might become The Clemson of the big 12.
Sark is the best head coach hire at Texas this century.

whoever leaked to the press that texas was courting urban really hamstrung them. I dont think they wanted to make a move unless it was urban but once it was public they had no choice. they were already getting killed in recruiting by A&M and OU, and with herman a dead man walking this year, their lack of recruiting would have set them back several years.
