The No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide are scheduled to play the Ohio State Buckeyes in the national championship game on Monday night.

Ohio State is currently battling a COVID-19 outbreak and had reached out to the SEC about potentially moving the game to the following Monday.

However, the SEC rejected Ohio State’s request, and the game is still planned for Monday, Jan. 11.

According to Dan Patrick of the Dan Patrick Show, Ohio State is scheduled for another round of COVID-19 tests on Friday and “currently have upwards of 20 positive tests

Damn, I really would prefer we play them at full strength. Hope it's no starters...

Too bad for them.

The game should not be postponed, we need to get this joke of a season finished.

How does it get any better for them? Those 20 players can't practice, can't do anything football-related for their entire protocol. In the meantime, a healthy Bama team could start having COVID issues with classes starting before the postponed game. Play the game.

This is totally inaccurate. Ohio State continues to practice and the Woody Hayes Athletic Center is open.

It’s all horse puckey. There is no danger to 18-22 year old college athletes from the same family of virus that causes the common cold. ‘Contact tracing’ is more horse shite. Not a single college athlete has been hospitalized much less died from this scamdemic. Goddam, Saban tested ‘positive’ twice and barely had symptoms but had to miss the Iron Bowl. He’s 69 years old. It’s ridiculous.

Push the game back a week. I don’t want any excuses from them. Plus it’ll allow Bama to get Waddle back for the game.

You want a full strength contest but OSU has been given plenty of gifts already this season. Time to play.

OSU's lack of controlling their environment better is not Bama's problem.

I figured the whole football program would have antibodies by now.

Are these guys making out after practice everyday?
