I’m not going to argue with you but Spurrier was scoring a lot of points at Florida and to turn SC around the way he did was remarkable.

As far as Mizzou goes I give them their due for those 2 years but to knock Spurrier as a great coach is plain stupid.

And his loss to Nebraska in the title game, well, Nebraska had one of the greatest teams EVER in college football history. That OL they had was tops, all of them and nobody could stop them.

I think he has a strong argument for top 5 sec Coaches all time .

His consistency and records speak for themselves, and the fact he single handedly changed the culture at SC .

He dominated the SEC while it was down and then dominated the SEC East while it was down. Nebraska lit him up in the '95 Championship game, 62-24.

Dude lol, Nebraska put it on everyone. Greatest OL maybe in college history and they made DL’s look like shite. Just facts. They could move mountains.

Nebraska rushed for 4,751 yards that year behind the best OL ever. They could eat clock and pound the ball while running over everyone.

They averaged 400 yards rushing per game with 7 yards per carry. How you gonna blame Spurrier for that? Like I said, that OL was so good they made the Johnny Carson show.

Outside of Saban, he's the top SEC coach of the past 30 years. Just a little odd that for all the dominance on offense in the 90s, he only won the 1 NC.

Would he be on the Mt Rushmore of All-Time SEC coaches? It's tough considering Bama coaches would take up 2, maybe even 3, spots.
