Something's got to give!

Bama's scoring at 51 pts per game &
Georgia's only allowing 13pts per game.

Let's get ready to rumble!

Bama's zero? So you're saying they're going to get shut out?

Bama fans dont seem too concerned that their offense may be one dimensional.

I don't think UGA would shutout Bama but I have been surprised before

Congrats on the shutout Georgia. I’ve been saying since week one that you have the best defense in the league.

It is the English language. I dont think it could be said any simpler.

You can agree. Disagree. Provide perspective. Or sit there with your mouth open. Be you.

Is that dimension "scoring TDs" instead of scoring touchdowns and field goals?

Because if you commit to stop Najee and company, it will end poorly for UGA. Alabama's WRs already create match-up problems for any secondary.

UGA is probably hoping they won't need extra personnel for Bama's run game. That could change quickly, obviously, but they're not gonna stack the box right off the bat. I don't think you can allow Waddle and co. the big plays that may come from stacking the box.

Luckily our front 4 have done more than enough to clog holes in the run game.

I prefer the good D over the good O in these scenarios

But it’s UGA and Alabama. UGA choking is law

Yep. Kirby also knows you can’t slow down Alabama if you can’t get pressure with 4 on passing downs too. He’s one of very few coaches who have the personnel capable of it.

Correct.

We're only concerned about our defense. The only way uga stops bama's offense is by keeping the ball the whole game. And they might.

Tennessee is the highest ranked offense they've faced thus far and they're currently ranked 45th nationally in scoring. AU is 62nd, Arky is 68th.

Alabama is currently ranked #1 in the country in scoring offense.

Not saying Bama will cruise, but let's put that
Georgia defense in context.

Some of y’all really need help with sample sizes and understanding of how one game/opponent could drastically effect something like this.

Might have something to do with playing the #1 defense, huh?

Let's do Alabama's defenses they have faced as well...

To be fair, we've only had 3 games and UGA smothered them, so no way their O and our D could be highly ranked.

Bama game bothers me. We've played teams who couldn't match our depth, ran wave after wave of talented players at them, and dominated as they wore down (except for AU where we went in cruise control). We'll have to do more vs Bama. And I'm not sure our O is ready. We shall see!

Keep in mind, according to the NCAA statistics site, there are only 76 teams playing right now.

So if you’re 45th, as Tennessee is, 60% of teams are better than you, at least statistically. If you’re 62nd AU, that number is 81%, and for Arkansas, it’s just shy of 90%.

Stated another way, the bottom 40%, bottom 20% and bottom 10%, respectively.

Are they actually that bad or are they just ranked low because they were one of a few teams to play a good defense in one of their first three games?

Ole Miss is 76th
A&M 38th
Missouri 53rd

It literally goes both ways.

This is Kirby smarts defense. You should know better.

We don't have to "commit" to stopping the run. Jordan Davis, Devonte Wyatt, and Malik Herring do that themselves.

The only committing we do is adjusting to your personnel (you go 12 personnel, and you will face more in the box). That's your call.

You dont think running against UGAs defense will be a problem for you. I got it. Who has run the ball on Jordan Davis in the past 17 games?
