As was said earlier, the coaches HAVE to fall inline with this doctrine or they won't get the recruits they want. It all comes down to money and there is alot of it floating around in college football.

All because you disagree with what they do off the field. Well so long!! Don't let the door hit you on the way out!

That's what used to be so great about this country... we used to be a place where you could have a different opinion from someone else but still have respect for them.
For better or worse, the UGA football program and the institution itself will be around much longer than anyone currently involved in it.
If you want to make a stand and give up permanently on a program that has a temporary problem then more power to you, but the University of Georgia will remain bigger than any individual or group of individuals who are currently acting on its behalf.

You have to understand that nobody in that picture probably knows more about all of this than the mainstream narrative. They may truly believe that they’re at risk every day they leave the house of getting shot by a policeman.
Wow...a group of black folks who have no frame of reference what it is like to be black in American and must therefore rely on the mainstream narrative. And suggesting they may not have the intellectual ability to reference life experience and reconcile that with the mainstream narrative.
I am in no position to know what its like to be black in America but I do think that a lot of black people do perceive that they are at times discriminated against due to their skin color and I trust that these people have the intellectual ability to make that determination on their own without influence from the media....I also know what kind of shite I have heard come out of the mouths of white people in unguarded moments which leads me to think there is something to this racism thing in the US......I do not recall ever experiencing anything that would indicate that racism does not exist but I have seen loads of anecdotal evidence that it does and I have talked to black people, who are in a better position that I, who indeed claim to have experienced racism....combined the two lead me to think there is some basis in truth there...

All the recent events aside BLM does bring up a serious problem that needs to be discussed and that's police reform as well as other things such as criminal justice reform, war on drugs, and private prison problem
But sure give up on your Fandom because you lack the nuance to understand that this problem isn't back and white and has been brewing for a very long time

For good or bad this is the way we change things in the United States...always has been, probably always will be. The three items mentioned have impacted black people in inordinately higher numbers than black folks but there are more and more white people getting caught up in the fouled up mess...if you hate black people at least have some concern about your own families and friends..
We have a problem in this country. We ask police to do an impossible job and then refuse to provide the support they need to do that job. We have DAs and teams of prosecutors who openly state their goal being prosecutions and not justice and private prisons whose bottom line is based on how many people are arrested and convicted and sentenced to long prison terms...companies who think nothing of openly enticing prosecutors and judges into siding with them against those accused of crimes with trips and tickets and outright cash payments. We have declared war on a sizable number of citizens who choose to use drugs. While this inordinately impacts black people it crosses racial lines...if you despise black people for being black thats one thing but doing so and ignoring the fact that the police can seize your property for running stop sign and never return it without any sort of due process is concerning for all Americans or should be....
Being tough on crime does not mean tossing folks in prison with trumped up evidence and jail house snitches being offered reduced jail time in exchange for testimony etc just to make sure someone pays, regardless of guilt or innocence. All that does is make a mockery of the system and allows the actual perpetrator the opportunity to commit more crimes against more people...and eventually means we release someone from prison with an understandably bad attitude and some barriers to being a productive citizen which are damn near impossible to overcome...and then have the unmitigated gall to be shocked when this person does commit a crime and goes back to prison.

So its capitalism and the free market that has driven you away from 50 years of fandom.
I have a dear friend, as good a friend as I have in the world, who will ask at least once during a televised sporting event "why are there so many black people in commercials when they only make up about 10% of the population?". If there is a commercial with gay people in it he will for sure ask about that. Never mentions Asians or Hispanics in commercials. Anyway he seems to think that the sponsors are pandering to black people to appease them....never stopping to think that GM, for example, likes selling cars to all people and if putting black folks in a commercial means more black folks might buy a Chevrolet they'd be an idiot to not do it....you can't run a business based on unfounded fear and emotion. Your competition will EAT you alive. CFB is a business. The smart folks in CFB manage it like a business...the idiots allow emotion to steer their decisions. Players aren't in the business of managing, they are in the business of playing....coaches and administrators are charged with management....and any that allows emotion to much leeway is going to fail miserably. So you lose a few hardcore whatever the frick it is that would drive someone away...racist, trump supporter, whatever it is...so you lose a few of them but you gain the support of the families of future recruits for at least paying lip service to a meaningful cause in their book...you would be a moron of the rankest caliber to not do that and derelict in the responsibilities you have agreed to carry out which is to properly manager the business of your schools CFB program.

I’m still in until I see the name of a rapist or someone who held a gun to a pregnant mothers stomach plastered on that red and black uniform. Then I’m frickin out.

So pro sports went political. The NBA is a joke. Viewership is way, way down. The NFL plays to empty stadiums. MLB is down. This trend continues to increase.
Can you not see a similar trend penetrating college sports? Does anyone think this is going to help college sports?

Hey it jacked up those people's business model, but they just didn't do it right. Let's give it a try!!!
Sounds a lot like communism/socialism. It has been tried over and over and over. Never has worked. But, our "intellectuals" tell us that it just wasn't done right. Let's break things and give it a go!![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/Iconbanghead.gif)
