Think about this from a business standpoint. Saban has it made. $32 million and all he has to do is show up and coach...it doesn't matter if he wins or not. Why would he leave willingly? All he has to do is lose enough games and he'll be fired and still be $32 million richer.

Now from Washington's standpoint, why would you take a chance and give up big money to someone that already has it made. I mean come on...if he would walk away from $32 mil then he'll walk away from whatever Washington can pay.

I believe he set the standard with his current contract and I think any team would think long and hard before luring him away and signing a similiar contract. Besides, I don't think the man's ego would let him admit failure at Alabama.

Not sure if the city of Miami agrees.

I know everyone will disagree but it's a totally different situation. He went to Miami to give the next level a shot and clearly failed...no previous record of success in the NFL.

He was brought into Alabama with the expectation that he will resurrect the program. He's done it before and is expected to do it again.

He jumped ship once to come to Alabama. If he leaves before righting this ship then he's doing the same thing. If you're a big money booster at another University, do you want your dollars going to a man who just jumped ship for the second time without actually proving himself.

As an LSU fan (or any anti Bama fan) you can tell yourself that he would leave and they would pay...but I would think the folks putting out the money will look very close before committing that kind of cash to anyone.

I shudder to think where we would be as a program today had that happened.

I would not be surprised at anything Saban would do, however I must wonder is Saban so stupid as to shite on another employer so soon.

I agree. I don't see anyone willing to pay him until he proves himself here. And if he proves himself then fine, let him go.

Hasn't Auburn won something like 6 in a row over Alabama now, with LSU winning 5 in a row and Mississippi State having won 2 in a row. Hmmm.

Aren't the Warhawks playing one for the ring finger this year?

I hope that Saban stays at Alabama. It's fun to watch him and Les go head to head. As long as we come out the winner, I can put up with Saban being at Bama. Being a tiger fan my take on ya'll constantly bringing up Saban or something about him is that ya'll feel threatened by him. I don't see or hear of any AU boards constantly bringing up Saban. Hey people, remember that Tubbs beat us when Saban was our coach. Look how many times Tubbs has out coached Saban. I like Tubbs as a coach but I hate the antics that he pulled in Tiger Stadium.

Joe Dean looking at Memphis OL coach doesn't surprise me one bit. If it wasn't for Emmert, we would be lower than Ole Miss now. Dean went after the cheapest coach that he could get. LSU was never as bad in it's athletics then when Joe Dean was athletic director. I wonder why he went cheap on every hire? I wonder if he pocketed some money to support his drinking habit. If he was such a lover of LSU, then why did he run it into the ground? He has to be the worst AD in all of LSU's history. I, for one, liked Broadhead. His book is a good read. I wonder why some of the black leaders in BR were allowed to go with the basketball team to Hawaii and other places while Daddy Dale was coach.

Credible because Emmert has even more pull at Washington than at LSU. Emmert got Saban everything he wanted at LSU as Chancellor.

What do you think he can do at Washington as the University's President. Emmert doesn't take "no" for an answer, if he wants little Nicky, he will get little Nicky. Emmert is politically savy, probably one of the best Chancellors ever at LSU because of his political prowess.

I concur!

Sabin is not LSU's coach.

Why does ANYBODY care what he does, anymore ???

Why does ANYBODY care where he goes ???

The ONLY thing that matters is LSU.

While talking to a VERY RELIABLE SOURCE, I mentioned this CRAP! He asked me to forward him the link. I did!

Before leaving to take my son fishing, with my uncle...I decided to check my mail! I recievied his RESPONCE!

Before I say anything....Let me ask YOU, Lsupimp, this first:

Why did SABIN leave LSU?

Then, and only then, will I comment futher!

So you know this is NOT bullshite here's his
OPENING line:

"That was all too pathetic to read, an entire line up of people with too much time to kill".

In addition: (Just for my LSU brothers)

"LSU fans need to realize that their real competition in the SEC will be Georgia, Tennessee and Florida. Big money...Big media presence..."

Now, answer my QUESTION, Lsupimp!

Guys have a nice weekend...See you MONDAY pimp.

I am unable to understand your incoherent post as I have no backround as a lead-based paint chip eater and I have never sustained a serious brain injury. Seriously, give some thought to organizing sentences into coherent streams of words that make sense.

Mark Emmert IS mentioning Saban's name with prominent UW boosters. This is a fact. Now, you may choose not to believe that, as is your right. The two boosters also say Saban is concerned about an issue concerning UF and Urban Meyer.

I congratulate you on your fishing activities and your ties to REALLY GIGANTIC AND IMPORTANT PEOPLE. That and three quarters will get you a Joe at the Circle K. I can't get anyone at LSU to return my calls, so you are very special indeed.

Please note that this is not the TIGER RANT, but rather the SEC RANT.

If you are so LSU-CENTRIC as to be angered by the mere mention of our former football coach, The One Who Was Too Small To Wear The Hat (as the Sioux refer to him), then I suggest maybe a little fragrance therapy and an hour of Doctor Phil. That might relax you.
