My sources in Seattle are hearing a LOT of Saban buzz...

Here is what I have. It is from two independent sources in the Seattle business/UW booster community:
1. Saban has sent very informal "what if" feelers to Mark Emmert. It seems that Saban believes there MAY be some ugly things surrounding the Bama program outside of his control, that might make things unbearable in the next year or so. These things somehow involve the Univerity of Florida, and specifically Coach Urban Meyer. (maybe someone can explain this part to me as I am unaware of any UF-Bama tension).
2. Emmert has floated Saban's name to NUMEROUS UW boosters. He also has presented it as a "what if" scenario. He has painted a picture to boosters that goes something like this " the similarities with LSU and UW are eerily similar. both are once-proud programs fallen on hard times, with great resources and facilities. UW has a chance to provide a counterweight to USC on the West coast which has been pitifully neglected. As Willingham flames out- UW needs to commit to football, and we need to prepare to hire the best possible coach".
Expect the UW/Saban speculation to gain traction in the next few months.
I am now entering my Gump-proof "safe-room". It is expletive-proof, so no worries.

Yes, UW has a total dearth of rich boosters unwilling to supplement Saban's salary. It is really sad how the American economy has left Seattle behind. Those guys are 19th century brick & mortar.

Check and see who told the MONEY BOARD about Starbucks closings eight weeks before they occurred.
I know less than zero about LSU stuff, but I get all the good Seattle stuff due to my specific business. But go ahead, don't worry about it Gump......

Pimp, you may be on to something. Washington has a lot of similarities to LSU. They have been regarded by many in the PAC-10 as having the most obnoxious, rude fans (like we are - ), they aren't as tough on coaches as $C (Bama of the West Coast) and they have some talent there to tap into (but not like Louisiana has).
With Emmert there, this would not surprise me at all. In so many of the pics you see of Saban, he looks like he's aged 20 years in the last 18 months.

Dinky is scared of Tubbs. He will be gone this year or next. He sees what's coming and he is scared.
(By the way, in case people miss the sarcasm this is exactly what gumps have been saying about Tubbs every since dinky got there. Tubbs is scared, will leave, )

BamaScoop, what the hell would happen there if Saban were to leave there this coming December to go to Washington?
BTW, I don't see him going to Penn State because JoePa will have a lot of say in that decision and I don't see him wanting to have them give Saban the kind of money he would want.

I understand most of this is BS. But Saban leaving for Washington would not surprise me.

And so it begins. This is the first shot across the bow for Bama nation. He will be gone w/in the next 2 yrs. Look for LSU fans to jump back on the Saban bandwagon once he starts playing USC year in and year out. Bama will go ahead and take their rightful place as third best team in Alabama.

It would register greater than the 5.6 y'all had yesterday
I truly believe if he were to leave it would be the death blow to Alabama football. I think the fans would finally abandon the program if it came out that boosters or the alabama mafia or some of that shite played a role in his decision to leave. We would forever ride of into mediocrity which is where we have been for the last 25 years with the exception of a few runs but nothing special. It would be very bad.
