But the good ones gave Saban problems. Look at their loses, it was usually a good HUNH team with very little time to prepare. I have said it many times before, give Saban 6 weeks to prepare for a team and he could make Vandy competitive. His issues were when he had a week or two to prepare.

Very glad for what he did at Bama. But it was time for a mutual parting of ways,
What Jones said here is really encouraging. Sounds like some new ideas that are really helping the players in many aspects.

Their strength and Conditioning was never an issue with Bama players. Anyone who throws Cochran under the bus is just looking for an alibi.
I don’t think anyone is throwing him under the bus. He did great for us and we are grateful. It was just time for a change with him and Bama

Not trying to take up for bama posters or bash Scott, but he does have a terrible reputation for his players having injury issues. Atleast in S&C circles, but it's hard to argue results.

I’m sure the guy Alabama hired is just as qualified as Scott Cochrane was.
For Alabama’s sake, at least they won’t have an oversized, roided up cheerleader on the sideline anymore.

Probably a win for both parties. We'll see.
Nick Saban been a head coach for a long time and might that be close for him to retire? That will be happening sooner than you think.

I don't think anybody claims to know how long Saban is going to coach, so it'd be hard to be sooner than "I don't know".

Maybe getting rid of those coaches/trainers that he had been around so long was a sign showing he is going to be gone and does not want them to be at Alabama when he retires.

It does however sound like what every player says about their strength coach around the country.

I don't think it has anything to do with that

I don’t think Saban wanted to experiment with letting him be an on the field coach this point in Saban’s career.

What?
Assistants and support staff have come and gone with regularity.

Maybe he'll make Bama softer to match Saban's declining Coaching ability.

Now that makes a lotta sense.

Was thinking the same thing. it's not a matter of one winning and the other losing. If both see improvements, then who loses?

First thing I did in my career when I got a new boss was to trash them publicly. Seriously, these guys are probably good, but acting like they invented "science" is funny.
