A few weeks back - players need to shut up and play, I'm tired of them having a voice

Today - listen to the players and what they have to say!!
A lot of you assholes are selfish and don't give a damn about the players. It's sad to watch, especially when the only reason you want the players heard is because you don't want to lose a season of football.
Pathetic.

The players dont know shite about the finances are other things they talk about
But when it comes to playing or not playing and their own futures: they should have the choice on what they do as much as anyone else
Not sure the hypocrisy there champ

I'll listen to a player on whether or not participating in their sport is in their best interest or not.
If that player also injects politics into every situation, I will recognize they have the right to whatever opinion they might have but choose not to listen to it.

That’s because they are two entirely different situations. PAC-12 players demanding 50% of the revenue affects EVERYBODY. It means total restructuring of college football.
The decision to play is different. The players are the only ones who can decide if the season is played, because they are the ones with their safety in question.

Plus only 11% of sec football fans even attended college. To them it’s just pro sports.

Why would I care about football players if they arent playing football?

No one ever said players need to shut up, nor did anyone say they are tired of them having a voice.
Folks have had and continue to have a problem with players making ridiculous demands such as 50% of revenue, etc. when such a thing is not even possible. People also get tired of folks acting like the value of a college education is nothing.
The average annual cost of college for a typical 4-year institution is roughly $26,000/year for in-state colleges. Once a kid gets a degree, they can typically expect to command a salary that is approximately 1.66x their expected salary if they had just a high school diploma.
That degree is literally worth hundreds of thousands of dollars and yet people still want to equate college athletics to "modern day slavery."
No one has a problem with athletes speaking up. People have a problem with anyone acting stupid and making irrational demands.

Do you really not see the difference between listening to the players talking about playing, or listening to the players talkIng about politics?
