Bama has the most sidewalk fans hands down. That is what happens when you win 5 national championships. LSU, UGA and UF up there

UF has alot especially with Miami and FSU in the toilet.

Tampa, Orlando and Jacksonville are all Gator strongholds.

Florida has a lot of people in that state, and I'm old enough to remember when every swinging dick in the late 80s/early 90s who took a vacation to Florida and came back with an FSU hat or t-shirt for some reason.

Are sidewalk fans the same as Walmart fans? Either way, the answer is Bama.

Might be true around Nashville. But every trinket peddler in Gatlinburg and oxy dealer in Johnson City is a UTK fan though.

Seems like coast is LSU and you get more Bama trickled in as you go north

Bama and Florida have the most from my experience

ETA: misread... as far as this site, gotta be LSU.

It seems to be mostly LSU fans then there's a contingent of bandwagoners who flip flop. Harrison and Hancock Counties are predominantly LSU though in my opinion.

UGA. They literally have some of the best alumni fans in the conference, but their sidewalk fans are some of the absolute worst.

Bama by far, during the lean times like the Shula years those fans become fans of whomever is having success. Ironically all of those fans are Kentucky basketball fans too

Which broken troll? If you are referring to Bill Taylor, he can say this as he does have a degree from MSU.

LSU, on the other hand...

It's certainly not us. I rarely meet a fan of ours that doesn't have some sort of connection to the school. I remember at the Music City Bowl a guy sat next to me with his 2 sons. He went to Duke but his wife went to Auburn so he was an Auburn fan by default.

Clearly it's BAMA, and we're okay with that! In N. Al, I'll see about an even amount of TN. & GA. running third behind AU. They love their teams with a passion and that's cool!

I mean that isn't true. There were tons of Alabama people in Tennessee, Georgia, Florida - specifically Atlanta, Chattanooga, Nashville/Middle TN, Florida panhandle.

Always have been.

Now, nationally or in places like Texas? No, not very many. But football success and the last 10 years of new students/alums from across the country has changed that. There are more sidewalk Bammers in Chicago, LA and Dallas in 2020 than 2005 but there are also more UA grads there.

If your definition of a sidwalk fan is fan who didn't go to the University then Tennessee is right in the thick of it.

If the definition is bandwagon fan, then you are probably right.

For football

1. Bama. And there’s no shame in that.
2. Florida
3 LSU
4 Tennessee
5 Uga
6. Auburn.

Big six as usual.

These discussions are so dumb because without the “sidewalk” fans, these powerhouses wouldn’t.be what they are. There’s just as many alumni that don’t give a rip about giving back as there are non alumni who spend tons of money to support their team.

The point is, without these types of fans, there is no SEC.

I was kicked out of Auburn with a degree, long story. I went back and got a master’s too.
