I think Tom Herman is going to be desperate. The seat is getting warmer and he needs to make moves this season. Texas looks like they're bringing back some good talent as well. LSU is losing some good players but they still have a lot of talent. A likely night game in Death Valley will give LSU the edge in my opinion.

How do you guys see this going?

Texass’ idea of a tough road environment is Texas Tech.

They’re fricked.

Mensa and his boys will talk even more shite than last off-season: With LSU losing everyone, there is no way we can hold them off this time. They will swear that vengeance is theirs up till kickoff.

Then they realize:

This time, it's in Tiger Stadium, as mEhlinger shits his pants for four quarters;

Our defense is not soft like in their dreams;

And Brennan is not an inexperienced noob, but a grown-assed man with something to prove.

Then, their narrative will revert to holding, SEC conspiracy, more holding, L$U buys players, and...did I say holding?

I want to at least see who LSU brings in on the coaching staff.

Before the game this year there was talk that Texas overall was still "young" so they may be the more experienced team.

Chris Ash was a damn good hire at OSU and changed them from a bad defense to a good defense in one season. He should have "comparable" talent at his disposal.

I just don't know how fragile Herman is at this point. As you said he should be desperate but he seems to be losing ground not gaining it

I wouldn’t be shocked if Texas wins. LSU can’t even start preparing for it until they figure out their coaching situation.

Meanwhile they’re giving O 6 year; 7 million a year contract.

Tom's probably already desperate.

He's at least delivered in big games, that's never been his problem. So I don't fear Texas will come out flat. But that's not to say they're going to win the game either.

I think the only advantage Texas has over LSU is returning starters. But talent is certainly not going to be a problem for the Tigers. Many of them will just be unproven at that point.

The most irritating thing about Texas's program right now is that I could very realistically see Texas contending in this game until the very end, possibly even winning, only to turn around and lose to Kansas State and Baylor at home later in the season. It is incredible how inconsistent his teams have been in Austin over 3 years.

OSU plays at Oregon that day too. Not sure if Fox has the rights to that one but throwing it out there as that will bring a lot of viewers as well and Gameday may want to go out there for a top 10 matchup

If Texas loses, you can bank on Herman's seat catching fire. If there is a time to catch LSU, 2020 would be it with all the departures of players and coaches.

With that said, LSU still wins at home.

I’m not a prognosticator.

But GO HORNS.

I kid!
Tried to say it with a straight face.
Alas, I snort-laughed instead.

I’ll be an LSU cheerin’ FOOL that day.

Should be another great one. I’d bet on LSU winning again.

I predict LSU scores a late TD in the 4th already up double digits and Herman loses his shite and tries to fight O.

I think LSU loses this game. Both teams will be implementing new schemes, but Texas at least has a Sr QB, and more players back

Let us get a DC first then I will have an opinion. LSU doesn't even know if we are sticking with the 3-4 or going back to 4-3.

I hope we fake a cramp on every single defensive snap, just to see their fan base explode.
