Stoops being slept on so hard.

I’d have Stoops at 5 or 6, especially after this last season’s coaching job.

Dan Mullen behind Kirby? That’s absurd, I’m pretty sure Mullen is 3-0 against Kirby isn’t he?

Those are decent rankings but I’ll have to see Coach O sustain a couple 10+ win seasons to justify number 2. Also I’d put Muschamp at 9, Mason at 10 and make the other coaches TBD.

1. Saban
2. Orgeron
3. Mullen
4. Kirby
5. Leach
6. Stoops
7. Malzahn
8. Kiffin
9. Fisher
10. Pruitt
11. Mason
12. Muschamp
13. Drinkwitz
14. Pittman
Based not on W/L but performance level at the program they’re at and the resources available to them.
I rank Stoops and Leach high because they’ve won at schools that nobody wins at
2. Orgeron
3. Mullen
4. Kirby
5. Leach
6. Stoops
7. Malzahn
8. Kiffin
9. Fisher
10. Pruitt

Pruitt is interesting at 10.
Tennessee fans, just how bad was the locker room environment over there early this season, and the last couple years?
People crushed Orgeron for the Troy game, but it was necessary (per some) to break the attitude and reclaim the program.
Pruitt had 2 such games this year, Ga State and BYU. Those should be gimme's, and that would make Tennessee 10-3 this year.
Did he NEED BOTH to happen?

Kirby should be 14th. He's probably the worst coach in SEC history. Even though Mullen has never beaten Kirby, or won the conference, or even his division for that matter, he's still a much better coach. I'm sure by now Mullen has his players and will now beat Kirby and win the East every year for the foreseeable future.

Id love to see someone try to math out a composite ranking by categorizing performance between a few categories, Im thinking recruiting, talent development, scouting/game-planning, in-game/play calling, and organizational management would be my big 5.
id shoot out my own subjective but tbh I cant be bothered to research any of the dopes under Kiffin. Im not sold Kiffin is a good headcoach type but at least he's interesting.

Who else didn't know or care who Mizzou's coach was prior to this list?

Replace Mullen with Smart. Smart has recruited the best in the country with no championship to show for it. Mullen made State relevant and is about to make Florida the king of the East again.

Yes let's put Mike Leach... a man that had one win over a Top 25 opponent by more than a Touchdown in 26 tries... ahead of a coach who's won the SEC West twice, the SEC once, and played for a National Title.
Also, what has Leach done that Stoops has not done? It's harder to win in Lexington than it is to win in Pullman.

Lane Kiffin ahead of Pittman, Pruitt, and even Drinkwitz?

Now rank them by winning percentage

As of now, Fisher number 5. Ok, why?
