Big time pro states like Missouri find little college states cute.

You know what else is cute? Mizzou athletes letting a tutor color their homework & then having her set your program back a decade or so. Nothing says irrelevant like the NCAA taking a year to respond to your appeal only to uphold it. Now THAT’S cute!! There are jucos with more clout and better fan support than Mizzou. And don’t look now, but one of your “big time pro” football teams in MO hauled their asses west. Again.. Congrats on the new pro soccer team, though.

You almost lost your Saints due to Katrina. Better hope another one doesn't come again.

The Nashville Predators have been the most popular team in Tennessee as of the last five years or so. They’re fanatics when it comes to hockey.

never understood how Louisiana can support a pro team, but I guess they receive help from Mississippi and Texas some.

Ain’t nobody driving in from Texas for a saints game. Nola metro is over a million, make it a couple of million or so if you bring in Baton Rouge and the gulf coast of Mississippi (an hour in each direction). Not only does New Orleans support a pro team, it’s probably top 4 in support as far as market dominance and tickets sold %

There is absolutely no way the Saints are more popular in the ENTIRE STATE of Lousiana than LSU football. They ARE more popular in the city of New Orleans though.

The Cardinals own MO...huge fanbase (surprised it doesn't also own a couple additional states). Interesting that the Chiefs (based in KC MO) own Kansas...primarily because 50% of KC metro is on Kansas side of the metro.
Based on the map, interesting to see the chiefs for Kansas (they play in MO), but MO for Cardinals. I think this is the only instance in the map where a team is not the favorite in their state yet the favorite in neighboring state.

Also...FWIW, New Orleans is a latrine, it sprinkles and water is ankle deep. But hey, thanks for taking all of our shite from MO...literally.

. I’d imagine that the saints would win the popular vote but LSU would carry 50 parishes

Maybe, but at least we don’t have to wait three decades to become good again. You’ll be able to tell your children what it was like to witness a KC championship in any sport.

Arkansas spends most of their money on plush truck stops. Gotta have a place nearby to clean up after you just murdered a prostitute in your rig, amarite?!?

...and the Chiefs apparently do since Mahomes and Kelce were spotted at the Western Conference Final and SCF games. Can’t fault them since they wanted to know what it’s like to be a part of a championship atmosphere (and beat a Boston team when it counts). Maybe it’ll help them this year.
