I agree with this. But it’s exacerbated by companies exploiting people’s urges to get them to consume more. So the companies can keep growing forever.

I was in Panama, and the island people there fly swastika flags, which was a thing long before the nazis. That’s different than someone flying a swastika flag in reverence to the nazis
