Speaking as someone who lives in the fastest growing county in the state......it ain't all sunshine and rainbows. People are every damn where now, more pop up constantly out of every ditch and pothole around. T

Well yeah…that’s called growth

think about this. Do you not see the obvious problem? If they have mental deficiencies, how can they make this decision?

You could argue that, since they are the one who has to experience the pain of living, they should be the one to make that call

Tell me how you’re going to build more housing in NYC. You’re space limited. Only way is to go up, but you’d have to take down old buildings to do that, which becomes very expensive.

I know of a big ol green space smack dab in the middle of manhattan
quote:

ake sure you understand "mean" versus "median". Mean is the average Median is the middle. Mode is the most commonly occuring If there is a village with four houses and the rents are $1000, 1000, 1000, and $40,000: The mean or average is $10,750 The median is $20,000 The mode is $1000. All three are important to understand, but all three do not tell the same story. IN this example the mean and median seroiusly distort the fact that most people in our make-believe village don't pay a huge rent

In your example, the median would be 1,000. Average of the two numbers in the middle.

Median is generally the most useful metric for continuous data that is skewed (in this case, the upper limit for rent could be very high). I don’t think the mode will tell you much here
63 million / 3500 = only ~18,000 people. The math isn’t mathing
It’s one thing to accept suffering as an unfortunate byproduct of achieving a greater good. Making a mockery of people’s suffering is juvenile and wrong
One of the ugliest, if not the ugliest places I’ve ever been
Awful thing for our President to say.

One of my buddies learned Korean in the military. It was great traveling to Seoul with him and seeing the surprised look on the old ladies faces when this white dude started speaking fluent Korean

What would you have done?

What’s the TL;DR on why this matters to the personal injury industry (I’m calling it that) in looziana?
Spent $850 for 3 days of lift tickets this year. Not to mention $20-25 for a burger at lunch. They’ve jumped the shark

imagine thinking the sun, the source of all life on earth, that plants turn to and animals seek out, that makes you feel & look better every time you spend time in it...

This is so dumb. Try staring at the sun and tell me the “source of all life on earth” can’t be bad for you

No we were getting off an international flight so I’m guessing they were trying to rush ahead and beat everyone to customs, I’m sure if they were trying to make a connection they would have said so

Shoot first, ask questions later

But seriously I just assume these people have a short connection. And if not, not worth getting bothered over a few seconds

Ain’t social security the biggest expense? Just cut it and call it a loss.

Social security and Medicaid are the biggest problems. People are living too long. No amount of austerity will be able to right the ship. You’d have to cut or reduce these programs and who’s going to do that? Would be political suicide
