I mean, most of you types go on and on about our baseball program and that's the most boring-arse sport at the university. If I see another "Paul Skenes takes Livvy on a date" type thread on here, I'll throw up......................................But I don't go IN those threads and constantly talk about how boring the sport is. So, tell me why you have such psychological discomfort with women's basketball? Did one of the ladies school you in a game over at the rec center by the dorms? :lol: :lol:

Listen, I've been a fan of the program since the days of Elaine Powell and Pietra Gay. I've been a season ticket holder on many seasons. I think I have a pretty good perspective on the program and seen lots of this recruiting stuff.

I think something we as a fan base need to understand....................................Outside of Louisiana, Kim is not that well-liked. Much of it has to do with her past relationships with certain players (Emily Neiman, Brittney Griner), much of it has to do with statements she's made over the years, and some of it has to do with her demeanor on the court. As a result, there's a lot to use to negatively recruit against her. Not sure how we overcome that. When we hired Kim, I told people that South Carolina's dominance of the SEC was over. Sadly I've been mistaken. Save for the year we won the NCAA, we've not been able to defeat SC even ONCE..................and now that Texas is in the league, we don't seem to be able to finish any higher than third in the league.

Looking at the latest in recruiting................not being able to get Jerzy Robinson.............losing Bella and Jada Richard (I STILL don't understand those transfers).................now, if true, not being able to get GG, Kaleena, OR Maddy............and we still don't know what's gonna happen with Zaniya. Not only is it not looking good, in terms of being a final four contender (we'll still be a good program), but it also means we'll have to rely on the transfer portal for guards for a couple of years. This is NOT good folks. I hope I'm off base with this, but I'm just going by the trend I'm seeing.

Lastly, we can't get mad at Dawn if she has negatively recruited against Kim. Quite frankly, she doesn't have to. Kim has never beaten her once while at LSU, Dawn has a GREAT relationship with all her former players, and they are a perennial final four program. I'm not so sure if Dawn really needs to negatively recruit. That's really just hearsay. But I don't think that's enough to turn all these young people against Kim. I think these young..............primarily Black..........women, see Dawn in a much more favorable light than Kim. Most importantly, I believe their PARENTS see Dawn in that way, and that's gonna be tough for us to overcome.

Just my honest opinion as a long time fan of the program.

Actually, it's not amazing. Don't know why you think it would be. It's what an All-WNBA player is expected to do.

By the way, just so that you all don't have to bring her up again...........................Y'all's girl Caitlin got eliminated in the first round tonight....................................again. Which means ANOTHER season with no championship and Angel advancing further again. :cheers:
