Which would you rather: Bama or New Head Coach?

You have to pick one or the other:
Beat Bama and keep Malzahn or lose to Bama and he’s fired/bought out by Arkansas.

You have to think of the greater good. This season is already shot to hell, so losing another game isn't going to matter. The longer he stays, the further behind our rivals we'll fall.

Honestly, the best thing for Auburn is beat bama, win the bowl game and start the narrative we lost to 3 top 10 teams (2 on the road) in close games with a TF QB. Recruiting isn't that sophisticated...wins good, loses bad. 10 wins looks really good, etc...
I have zero faith Gus can fix his O, but the path from 8 wins to 10 wins and a title is likely closer if this team wins 10 this year than if we change coaches. If this team doesn't win 10 this year IMO a coaching change is a wash because Gus will then be recruiting from a different place and it will hamper him.

I'll never pull for a loss.

Bama win to bring recruiting power.
Gus could win in spite of himself if we can get the OL up to the right level.

Beat Bama Gus stays but is forced to turnover the offense to a legit OC like Sark Enos etc...

We've now gone beyond embarrassing to just plain imbecilic.

Beat Bama.
I never want Auburn to lose.
Maybe Gus will coach a good game.
Maybe Bo will make all the throws.
Maybe the line will block.
Maybe we check out of a bad play.

This won't work, it's actually worse than the alternative
Our best hope (since Gus isn't leaving) is for Bo Nix to become a master of whatever oopty oop shite Gus wants to do on a given day.

Beat Bama. I'm not gonna give a damn about who our coach is when we line up to play the iron bowl. Beat em by 60.

I agree
But I'm going to put it out there that beating Bama is solely about taking an opportunity where one arises and means very little about the trajectory of the program.
But I'm not going to let that get in the way of enthusiastically wanting to get this win.

You need to take sentimentality of the Iron Bowl out of this. Even if Gus wins the Iron Bowl we will still lose next year to LSU, Georgia and Bama because of a weak Oline and an young Defense. Let him go to Arky. Waive the buyout and let him go or fire him.

The most likely scenario if we lose to Alabama is that we all get even more frustrated/mad, and Gus is still here for at minimum one more year.
So you might as well hope to get a rivalry win when you have it. I'm not at all convinced we can beat Alabama, but if we can, it's possible it'll be the best opportunity in a while.

Maybe.. if you are a robot

I personally would like us to beat the hell out of Bama and figure out the rest later
