But why come at LSU fans like they are delusional...?

Mostly because we are.

That said, it's part of what makes this site so much fun - LSU fans being over the top.

When is the last time LSU dominated any of their non conf opponents how this team has?

The issue is what LSU (or any other upper tier Power 5 team) does against Ga Southern and Northwestern State just doesn't matter AT ALL in terms of how good you are. The most those games can tell you is if you actually might suck this year, which you clearly don't. It wouldn't matter if you beat them 70-0 frankly. Those are name your score games where the difference between winning by 30 and winning by 50 is really just based on how all out you want to go.

For me I'm looking at the one game against Texas where LSU won 45-38 and out-gained Texas 573-530. The offense against legit upper level FBS competition looked really good in that game. Burrow played an incredible game. That game gives us some real insight into what LSU really is this year. The other two just don't.

Posts like the OP are asking us to crown LSU based on this one game really, but we kind of want to wait and see if you don't mind.

Are you sure about that chief?

GSU is in the Sunbelt. Northwestern is also D1 and in the Southland Conference.

Can we all agree to stop using defensive stats of teams in which 1/3 of those stats are literally made up of the offensive stats from the team you root for?

Obviously Texas and Duke have bad defensive numbers - 1/3 of their stats are from offensive depantsings by Alabama and LSU. Alabama and LSU dominating Duke and Texas shouldn't be included in figuring out how good those teams are defensively against other teams. It doesn't make sense.

People can laugh all they want but Duke is a solid defensive team. They were last year and the year before and they return almost their entire defense this year.

2018 - 33rd passer rating against
2017 - 25th passer rating against

Their offense is bad but their defense is every bit as good or better than 1/2 or 2/3 of our league.

The change in offensive styles has been startling. It's night and day.

Les Miles would say they were going to open it up a bit every year and there would be no change. Imagine if he had followed through.

Please show me all the other threads SEC fans are starting about having the GOAT offense after their first three games.

I'll wait.

You guys are missing the point. It's not that other teams are claiming they have played a tougher schedule, it's just the other teams seem to realize that what you do against the Georgia Southerns and NW States of the world doesn't really tell you much. The offense in the Texas game looked really good, especially throwing the ball. Congrats on that, I'm sure it is encouraging for LSU fans.

Have played as weak a defensive schedule as possible is what I would say
Have we though?

I mean, not everyone has gone through the defensive gauntlet of Kent St, Tulane, and Oregon I guess

They held Clemson to 251 yards passing and 6.4 YPA, 2nd worst YPA number and QB Rating for Lawrence behind the Pitt game in a driving rain storm.

LSU is revolutionizing the forward pass as we know it this year. This will be looked back on as a turning point in college football.

Probably so. But if you do actually beat Alabama with it, Saban will get the rules of college football changed and you are going to wish you had personnel for three yards and cloud of dust again so jokes on you.

Putting up post counts like Burrow is yards and TDs.

Amazing how this was regurgitated by the LSU faithful last year when trying to demean Bama's offense.
