Jalen is the same QB he was at Bama. He got beat out by Tua.

Jalen didn't change, his system and level of competition did.

Lincoln makes a hell of a great system qbs.

Yea I dunno about system QBs, as that makes it sound like it is just plug and play.

Riley tweaks his system and play calling to his guys strengths, and his last few guys have had a lot of strengths (obviously).

Jalen isn't as talented a passer as those guys, but he has other strengths and Riley seemingly has tinkered the offense to fit that. The test will be when he plays a good defense that he has to beat with his arm and eyes. Hopefully he does it because he's awesome.

Amazing the hype that Hurts is getting after one game against a Houston team that just switched coaches...This is what pisses me off about the Heisman hype so early. Less see how Hurts does in conference before the coronation begins.

You mean like how Auburn fans claimed Brandon Jacobs for years?

A similar question is... “will LSU claim a win in the 2018 NC game, 44-16?”

Answer for most LUSers is definitely “YES!”

He didn’t.
It’s the same Texas Tech/Mike Leach/Air Raid System

If Bama did, it still would be better than claiming a Heisman winner in July.

It would be fact than an Alabama alum was winning the trophy.
