Lot of kids from Atlanta/Dallas/Houston/Florida cities at the top 7 schools on that list.

Even an extreme outlier wouldn't impact the median.

Doubtful. State governments make it up elsewhere. I think TN has the highest sales tax in the country.

Think this is a lack of reading ability or knowing what "median" means?
Edit: Actually, let's add a third level of stupid here. Tim Cook has no children, so they cannot be at Auburn to have any effect on this statistic.

This supports one of the biggest issues that MSU faces, imho.
Our alumni don't tend to send their kids to State.

Good to know Auburn can be rich and not brag about it.

I think it is safe to assume there isn't a STEM degree from UGA hanging on your office wall.

Atlanta families who can afford AU out of state tuition explain a lot in AU's numbers.
Same goes for Ala, Ole Miss et al. ATL/Dallas/Houston effect.

Wow. Written like a dumb AUB. A better school will get smarter kids not dumb trust fund babies like the Paris Hiltons of the world.
Being low in this list and high on the SAT/ACT list is good.

So A&M leads in education those from low income families yet is right near the top in median family income.
Looks like we’re doing something right.

That is much higher than I thought it would be. The median income for the population is around 61k.

It interesting to see how different people are interpreting this information. To me it seems like UF is doing a good job in serving as a public institution.
