The fact that you think a hotel in College Station, TX denotes any class of status is very telling. I don't know what is considered "prime real estate" in College Station, but it can't be any respectable figure. I know they don't teach you this in Agriculture & Mechanics college, but prime real estate is predicated on one thing: Location, location, location. And College Station is certainly not that, or at least a desirable one. Congratulations, a company built a nice hotel in a shite hole, where I'm sure the local alumni think $500 / night is considered high roller status. Yikes.

I've stayed there. Rooms are bare-boned but clean (and cheap). Walking distance to baseball, basketball, and football stadiums. Dave's Dark Horse bar/restaurant next door. Would stay again.

That is a shitty, cheaply constructed hotel for 2019. There are new Courtyard Marriotts in mid-market cities that absolutely put that to shame. Coming from someone who’s worked in hotel management and development for a long time, that won’t age well at all. And yes, we have a hotel on campus

Pleasant Hall was the campus hotel before Lod Cook. It was a hotel when I was at school in the 80s. Once Cook was built, Pleasant was renovated for the continuing education department.
