What do you guys think the most painful loss you've seen Auburn have?

I feel like losing to UVA in the Final Four stings more than losing to FSU in 2013.

I'm also very drunk. War Eagle.

This might be it, just because my programs and franchises rarely make it far in anything, and the NC was probably in the bag with the TT matchup. It was the perfect storm. Getting screwed in 2004 hurt bad, but we at least weren't allowed to play.

2013 because I was right there watching the final nail in the coffin of our lead get blown

And some stupid Tiger Paw saying as we were winning but FSU was driving "I told y'all, we are going to lose. I knew and tried to tell you"

I feel significantly worse for the basketball players than the FB for some reason though

This is worse to me. You have a longer playoff run in basketball. Too invested.

This is for sure. I have no doubt AU will get back there in football, but not so sure about basketball. It's the no call that makes it difficult to process, because I definitely think AU would beat TT.

Still feeling gut punched. Pasadena hurt but they beat us straight up. This ending tonight just feels like we won and it was taken away.

easily 2013.

I didn't expect our guys to be in the final four. This was a joy. 2013 still stings me to this very day.

This is worse than 2013. We just got beat then. Felt like we just got robbed tonight.

2013 most painful football loss.

Tonight most painful basketball loss.

Losing the way we did to UF in the Super Regionals last year was the most painful baseball loss for me.

I feel like I should be happy that we are that close to national titles/playing for titles, but it just makes it worse.

I’m most likely suffering from recent bias but this sucks worse than 2013. At least in that game the refs didn’t mis game defining calls..”

This will not go over well, but I would have rather lost yesterday than in the final. OF COURSE, I really wish that game had gone the other way. It truly sucks. Maybe because it felt like house money the last couple of games, but I felt way worse in 2013. Heck I'm going to put the 1991 Braves World Series and Falcons blown Super Bowl ahead of it. I'm not sure why because it's apparent Auburn could have competed Monday night. :(

Hard to call it between this and 2013. We missed plays in both games that should have sealed the win.

-No way you get close enough to foul a three point shooter in that situation.

-No way you miss a tackle on a short pass that goes for 30+ yards giving Winston a short field to score in that situation.

Super proud of both teams. Tough ways to lose and snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

2013 was worse. Before the season I had put $1000 on AU to win it all and was a few seconds away from winning around 30k.

It hurt a lot already. The money just made it worse.

It hurts but I feel for the players bc we’ll never see a run like that. The most amazing thing I’ve personally witnessed outside of Cam Newton.
