How did he struggle against Oklahoma?
Wasn't he like 24 of 27 against Oklahoma? Also, he didn't struggle against Auburn either (300+ yards, 5 TDs)...

Statistically, no. He didn't do "pretty well" when he had time. And that's the point. Statistically, when the opposing defense did not blitz, he was middle of the pack in CFB passing. But on passing plays against a blitz in 2018, he was tip fudging top in CFB - and that's the point people have been making since that stat made the rounds a month ago.
I assume this has to do with throwing against fewer defenders in coverage as well as his Oline picking up the blitz well, but the stat is what it is.

I am talking about Tuas full body of work.
This is directed at no one in particular:
The only stats/performances of Tua's worth analyzing for evaluation purposes are those in which he played with 2 good wheels.
Period.

Speaking of our game. When he had time he torched us.

By saying Tua is still the same you forgot to mention the Maxwell and Naismith award winner, SEC Player of the year, All-American, SEC Champion qb, National champion qb, multiple record holder, loved by his teammates and respected across the country for his high character. He also led his team to a 14-1 record and had 3 of the absolute greatest games in college football history.
The offense was the least of the issues vs clemson. So maybe you should take your hateraid down the road with Jalen!!!

Amazing isn't it?! Some of these haters need to move down to cow college with the bs they spew about Tua.

Whoa there, Kunta.
The defense gave up 37 points. Not great, but a team can win giving up that number.
The offense scored a net 9 points (16 - 7 for the pick 6). Nine points can't win diddly piss.
The offense, regardless of whose fault it was (coaches vs players, calls vs execution, etc), was exactly the problem.

There were plenty of issues in all phases of the game against Clemson, offense, defense, special teams, and coaching...there was no one side of the ball that was more egregious than the other, they were equally bad...Clemson was just better that night and much better prepared...

Offense was exactly the problem? Are you drunk again? There were several scoring ops where coach went on 4th when he should have taken the 3. Numerous drives went deep into Clemson territory but horrible play calling showed its face like the 1st quarter vs Uga.
So I’ll clarify the offense talent nor its ability to consistently move the ball on Clemson were the problem. But yes it didn’t finish drives and the picks hurt too. However Bama had 450 total yards and more 1st downs and won the time of possession battle.
There was no point in which Bama’s offense looked incapable however the defense was putrid on every level from early in the game to finish. Two players on the defense completely sold their teammates out one of which was Savion.
I hope Golding returns to coaching dbs and Bama hires an experienced lb coach

Offense was great...besides the very costly interceptions, and the ineptitude inside the red zone. But yeah besides the inability to score, and throwing it to the other team, they were just fantastic.

He might be referencing Kunta Kinte from the famous Roots TV series and book.
We go deep here.
But then he may not.

This article is about Enos, but includes this little factoid...
Tua Tagovailoa set the FBS record for passing efficiency.... Tagovailoa had a 199.4 passing efficiency rating
ncaa.com passing efficiency
Pretty good first year as a starter

I dont think our coaches think we can run the ball in the red zone, and there was evidence that we cant.

I've never heard this and have no context for your story, but fights at football practice should not be regarded as negative, problematic, or even uncommon by fans.
Wasn't at practice and it didn't happen just one time.

YStar - Let me see if I follow what you're saying.
Pre-snap read of coverage allows Tua to make play changes, set routes for that coverage, which has multiple routes with priorities assigned to the routes (1st read, 2nd read, etc.). Tua has performed well in this scenario. 1st read is covered, moves to next available/open receiver.
The better defenses we played later in the year (MSU, UGA and Clemson) showed one coverage/blitz package pre-snap and changed post snap.
You're not saying he had trouble going to check-downs based on pre-snap coverage that didn't change. Your issue is with his ability to adapt to the post-snap change and how it impacted his primary target/read.
And Oklahoma's defense sucked so bad --- it didn't really matter.
Am I off target here?

That is how I felt about it, well put.
The second interception is the perfect example - they bailed out deep and Tua, expecting no defender to be in that area (I assume based on his pre-snap read), just launched it up without even looking left I think. If he had taken the time to look, he probably would have realized he had a dump off to the RB with 30 yards of open field around him.
I don't think its a terrible issue, he just needs to learn to play within himself and understand that good defenses are trying to fool him as much as good offenses try and fool a defense so be careful with his reads.
