For College Football to Survive, Saban Needs To Retire

Alabama winning every game every year is KILLING interest in college football. Other regions outside of the south are all in a basketball season frame of mind and could care less about two teams from the South playing each other once again for a national championship. If Saban wants to kill the sport that gave him everything he has as a legacy he can simply keep on coaching his semi-pro football machine. It has gotten to the point where this is not even good for Alabama and it's fans. Who gets excited over winning everything all of the time? Even THIS has to get old. It's approaching that if you've had an erection for longer than four hours, you need to see a doctor thing. For the good of the sport, let's hope Saban does the right thing after this season is over with.

bullshite. Next year you'll have convinced yourself that Saban is going down and we will start this cycle all over again.

It’ll bounce back once Saban retires. Dynasty may continue under Dabo but there will be much more parity. Maybe a natty every 5 years. We’ll survive and so will the sport.

and could care less
I agree, other regions still have an interest. If they couldn’t care less we might have a problem.

It’s getting old.
The mortality of college football has been seen already via the players skipping bowl games.

There weren’t too many elite teams in CFB this season. Alabama is a machine but football is football. Everyone else should look at themselves instead of pointing fingers.

While I agree it's boring, it happens in most sports. Is what it is. I don't like the clear recruiting cheating but other than that..he is the best. He is boring, but greatness. I'm just waiting it out til he leaves.

You have got to be the biggest slap dick, no nut, erectile dysfunction of a college football fan I've ever crossed. The GOAT winning streak is why you strive to be better.... to take down the champ.

Emmert needs to retire and quit protecting Saban. Saban is killing the SEC not cfb. He's staining the record books but not killing it. The sec however is suffering from the special treatment Bama gets. The bottom of the conference can't keep up with the bottom of other conferences like before.

Saban is one of the last of the old school coaches. He commands respect from his players. He's one of,if not the only, coaches who can chew the players out and they respond positively to it.
When he leaves we won't see this type of coach again.
But there's one thing you left, they still have a game to play so you might want to wait before you crown a champ for this year.

So Dabo dominating cfb is fine?

Wrong. It elicits the hope that you too as a fan one day can experience this level of awesomeness. One national title is great... 2 is greater, but a dynasty is what any fan hopes to see. Even if your team never achieves it you can vicariously experience it... and here's the thing... the fact that the suits at the top don't interfere with it gives credibility to the integrity of the process. Saban and Bama's time will end one day. And all sports fans will look back on this era and still be glad they saw it happen, on some level at least.
I wish you all could feel it as fans. Sincerely.
