What was the situation before each arrived at their respective schools?

I’m glad you admit that Georgia football is equal to Michigan State. It’s always good to accept your place in the world.

So, you're saying MSU and UGA are similar caliber programs?

*edit* Hurricane beat me to it. *snaps fingers*

*edit 2*

btw, these types of threads are entirely foolish. only time will tell if Kirby is the next Nick Saban. the probability is very slim that he is that good. i mean, maybe say it if he's half as decorated? sure. then you at least have an argument, but kirby is brand spankin new to head coaching. i wish him all the luck in the world outside of anything that would hurt us directly.

He’s only one game off Saban’s Bama record. And Saban had already been HBC for years much before hitting Bama. Kirby lapping the GOAT there too

Well at least you recognize that y’all and Michigan state are on the same level when it comes to championships and you each have one CFP appearance.

They both had the same number of NCs at that time, too.

And MSU didn’t have a loss to Vandy on its resume.

Point to Saban.

Numbers say dawgs are a good bit better. But I know numbers can be confusing for some

Saban didn’t have the privilege of being on a staff that won multiple titles - Advantage Kirby. Kirby learned how to recruit, but not how to be a good head coach on game day.

So Saban was better than the coach before him, and Kiby was, well how to you say it, worse

I'm not sure you get how logic functions. If you make an analogy it is supposed to be apples to apples. If you say Saban's start at MSU is the same thing as Kirby's start at UGA then you are directly saying the programs are of similar value. Because the point of the argument was to illustrate how much better one coach is than another.

This is random. I guess you had to throw some sort of insult out there to discredit me. I guess today I live by the sword and you die by it.

Kirby is .5 games behind Saban’s first 3 yrs at Bama. Supposedly after Saban had become a “great game day coach”. Just seems the numbers telling a different story than you gumps want to acknowledge
