Take the top 32 programs using either revenue or profit.

That's 26 right there for sure, put in 6 misc. others and you'd have everybody that matters. True both for present relevance and past.

3-league system consisting of 96 teams
Each league broken up into 4 8-team divisions based on geography
8-game playoff to determine league champs, top 2 from each division make it in and league 2 & 3 playoff participants earn promotion to their geographical divisions in leagues 1 and 2 respectively. They replace the bottom two from those divisions who are delegated.
There would be butthurt about initial placement but it would be naturally sorted by year 2.
Reducing scholarships for each program would make things much more interesting as well.
My take on League 1
West-
USC
UCLA
Stanford
Oregon
Washington
Arizona
Arizona St
BYU
North-
Nebraska
Iowa
Wisconsin
Michigan
Michigan St
Ohio State
Notre Dame
Missouri
South-
Oklahoma
Texas
Texas Aggy
LSU
Alabama
Auburn
Georgia
Mississippi St
East-
Florida
Miami
Florida St
Clemson
Tennessee
West Virginia
Virginia Tech
Penn St

if any of y'all think the never-will-be-again UMiami and its poor football/fanbase deserves to be in because of their once-upon-a-time history - then so does Minnesota. Canes fans are too busy watching the Dolphins lose on Sunday, anyways.

Yes, because everything in the sports world today revolves around attendance and not television.

Why are people including a team like Texas A&M over TCU or WVU? They are barely over .500. WVU, Arkansas, TCU, SCAR, are all vastly more successful.

If it went to 32 teams, it wouldn't take 6 teams from each conference. If they did then I can see them moving teams around, like a&m to big 12 since the big 12 has mostly shite teams. Same with the ACC.
Posted on 12/15/18 at 7:09 pm to Tigerrotti
SEC would get Bama, Auburn, Tennessee, LSU, Florida, and Georgia. The Big Six
Take 6 from each power 5 conference and you get 30. Throw in UCF and Memphis

And leave out Notre Dame. Right...

shite I forgot about Notre Dame. Include them as one of the ACC teams since the ACC doesn't have 6 good ones to pick

Cut TAMU, Texas is the only school needed for Texas.

Holy shite. That took a small amount of research and thought. Good job.

If they ever did a 32 team league they would do it based off of who brings the most money. All SEC teams would probably make it except for Vandy and Missouri

Rice and Bama don’t play every year. In that case we also have a winning record over Michigan too.

Oregon getting in is all recency bias. There's nothing about Oregon as a program that elevates them to the level of the other teams on your list.
If you put Oregon in, you need to put TCU and Baylor in too.
