Played hurt against all those good defenses.

When given time, and he's healthy, Tua is the best QB in the country. Georgia did a fantastic job putting more pressure on him than he has seen before, and while his injury wasn't enough to keep him off the field, it did make some difference in his ability to escape pressure.
Let's see how he does in the playoffs. If he continues to struggle, then maybe it's because of the defense. But I think LSU was enough to show me he can handle tough defenses.

Going into last night’s game, Tua had the highest QBR in the history of college football. That indicates to me that he might not be overrated. Now Georgia played a great game against him, no doubt. Too bad it wasn’t enough.

Another overreaction thread about one game played by a true sophomore QB playing as a starter in his first full year.
If he didn't have the drops, he would have had another 100 yards probably. So, this is a silly thread.

He's an absolutely elite, special QB when he has some time in the pocket.
When he gets hit in the mouth a few times, he clearly is a totally different player.
Lucky for him, Bama has the best OL in the country.

So soft that he out ran your entire sorry, fricking defense on a hurt knee.
Have fun with the shite bowl game your shite team is going to.

OU has an Ole Miss quality defense.

He had 4 passes dropped in the first quarter. After that I thought we were sunk.
Fromm was the truth and it takes a qb playing like Payton to beat us.
We found a way. Saban still has that horse shoe up his arse.

Nobody held Alabama to less yards than Mississippi State defense.
True. I said during the MSU game that Bama wouldn't play a better defense all season including the playoffs.

Well I'll be damned, that's exactly what they say about Brady as well. You is really really really dumb.

Bama played an unreal game against LSU. But if you zero in on Tua's stats, they were fairly pedestrian:
He was 25/42 (59.5%) with 295 Yards Passing, 2 TD and 1 INT. Averaged 7.02 yards/attempt.
Decent, but nothing spectacular.

It's not just one game.
He only threw for 164 yards against MSU, and he had 1 TD and 1 INT.
He through under 60% against LSU, with 2 TD / 1 INT.
Now the performance against Georgia.
This is not an overreaction to one game. It's the realization that against the three best defenses he's faced, he's not had a single stellar performance. Are we overreacting to three games? Is that a thing now?

A little. He’s also made of glass which won’t fly even in today’s NFL.

Not really.
Brady gets knocked on his arse and gets up and wins Super Bowls.
Let's not even use that guys name in this thread anymore.
Tua wasn't hit much or pressured all year, and when he was, he played much worse. He won't always have the best offensive line in football protecting him. Some guys respond to pressure and hard hits by elevating their game.

I think that is part of it. Ryan Mallet had the same issue. A 50/50 25 yard out was more appealing to him than a 99/1 5 yard dump down to an open back.

Well Qbs usually don’t “light up” good defenses, hence that is why they are good defenses. Tua is plenty good. One bad game out of 13 doesn’t change that . Saw on Twitter that counting yesterday, he has only played the equivalent of 9 and half games . He is fine.
Posted on 12/2/18 at 10:37 am to BHMKyle
No, Tua is hurt. Has been all year.

Well if they are advertised as one of the best QBs to ever play the game, they do. That's the entire point.

Three decent to bad games against the three best defenses you face does raise questions.

Bama's OL isn't that great. They are just allowed to hold all game
