Sang at the '89 Commencement, where he made his first major foreign policy speech.
Here.
(Also flew in FC on Continental across the aisle from him in 2002 or 2003. They didn't make HIM take off his headphones as we took off. Mid-flight, I passed him in the aisle as he came out of the loo and I went in. After I opened the door, I wanted to lean back and say "Whoa! What did you DO in here?", but thought better of it.)

He served his country faithfully and I hope he is at peace with Barbara now

I got to shake his hand at the ceremony dedicating the highway between CS and Austin as the Presidential Corridor back when his library was being built. I remember a little boy ahead of me in line who had drawn a picture for President Bush. Mr. Bush knelt down and thanked him for the drawing and shook the boy's hand. He was so down-to-earth.
RIP. Mr. President.
